Thanks for the info. I did check it with high quality digital VOM. Please let me know what voltages you are getting from the flashes you mentioned. I would very much appreciate it.

I have Vivitar 285HV flash that I used while ago when shooting 35mm.. I did measure voltage at the trigger and it is around 8-9 volts at the flash shoe idling and it drops to low 6 volts when fires up.
It is safe to use it with Pentax K-50. What are safe sync voltages at hot-shoe for this camera?
