I believe those were sold to Highway Departments like that, they had to be "highway yellow".

Thank you. It runs like a top, I think it is a 1949 model.

Another possibility is a McCormick Deering, from '20s or '30s. ---------- Post added 11-19-23 at 08:28 AM ---------- Our hay wagon setup. |

Was wondering what model. ---------- Post added 06-27-21 at 09:57 AM ----------
This was some sort of steam tractor maneuverability contest. These guys were working really hard to manipulate all of the controls on these beasts. They were slow, but I'm sure in their day they were quite awesome. ---------- Post added 06-27-21 at 10:06 AM ---------- Here's a little better shot of that contest |

Indeed, looks like a great event! I have never seen a Porsche tractor in person so to speak, but maybe not so many of them on this side of the pond.

That is an interesting discussion. Early tractors usually only had a simple hitch with a draw bar (see below - and we are still using this tractor!) I am not sure the vintage of the Porsche, it looks like it has some sort of hitch cast into the rear housing?
International developed a 2-point hitch system or their "fast hitch", but it never took off. We have an International 350 with that system and I really like it, you can really change attachments quickly (sorry not photos). But otherwise the 3-point hitch system has become the standard. ---------- Post added 06-26-21 at 09:11 AM ---------- And if you look at the Super A above it looks like it just has a draw bar.

It seems at tractor shows, there are a lot of Case steam tractors. I am not sure exactly when they started making steam engines, but they may be the oldest tractor company and they are still in business.

How can you tell there is a farmall in bed with you?
It has an M painted on it's hood. ---------- Post added 08-16-18 at 10:24 PM ---------- Why was the elephant driving the tractor?
He was cutting the field.
Why was the tractor parked?
The elephant was eating lunch.
Why did the tractor flip over?
