A fairly lowly explore (360), but a nice surprise as it's 34 months since I last had one - not that I'm counting :D Pembrey Dunes by Graham Hobbs, on Flickr

I seem to have gone out of fashion - it's 13 months since I had an explore :fedup::)

That is still one hell of a lens - and nice pic, too - well deserved explore

A rather surprising entry yesterday - I haven't had one since February, so I thought they'd given up on me ;) :D

this is the highest entry (therefore highest view count) I've had for a long time - came in at 115 - and my first explore since Nov 1 last year - so that's a relief. One of the less remarked odities of Flckr to me is that you seldom have it all - the most viewed pictures are seldom the most favourited, and the most favourited are seldom the most commented- and also, there is no obvious correlation between any of those factors and new 'followers' added. Oh well - many fruitless pages have been added to the mystery that is Flickr :) run by Graham Hobbs, on Flickr

Pure speculation about why - but I got far more explores with the K10D than with the K-3 - and more with the K-3 than the K-1 - that's the main thing that has changed - I don't think my pictures are less 'interesting' :) It might just be that a certain sage of your membership they give you more explores to get you established - in the end it's just inexplicable and I'm trying to apply logic to something that might not be logically based. oh yes - it seemed to like my pictures from Scotland, too :)

I think I've given up guessing what the underlying logic is - there was a time when I got zero explores, then a time when I got them every second day, up to three on a day occasionally - now I'm lucky if I get half a dozen a year. Something the algorithm is looking for has changed, but the camera model is the only thing I know for sure has!

very nice pics - especially the top one - it's another of Explore's foibles that it sometimes explores multiple shots taken seconds apart, then nothing for ages sometimes - but we take what we get and are grateful for the exposure :)
I seem to have got stuck in a holding pattern for the last year or so of one explore at the beginning of each second or third month, entering somewhere in the 300s - no exception this month :) as the sun sets, the moon grows stronger by Graham Hobbs, on Flickr

Here's another baffling explore, for today - I sometimes wonder if they don't just select every nth picture based on some sort of prime number based algorithm - there was no special, interest in this (for obvious reasons) before it hit Explore :D Old Poole old door by Graham Hobbs, on Flickr

Another one yesterday - good time are here again! (;) ) - another slightly odd choice, but not as odd as some of the stuff, like having 10 or 12 snaps of the the same yellow bus by the same person, and a similar one last week - oh well, the ineffable mysteries of explore :) Poole pampas by Graham Hobbs, on Flickr

Nah - it's just weird! April, May June 2014 I got over 20 explores a month - I haven't had one for 3 months now. My rate of posting fluctuates, but not that much - and my behaviour regards groups doesn't change much - they come and go with subject matter, but that's about it. The odd thing is, if there is an odd thing, that I used to get more with the K10D than with the K-3, and more with the K-3 than the K-1 - but as that's also largely a progression through time, it's probably just coincidence - I must just be getting less interesting as a photographer :D

Another one yesterday - as I say, Scotland has always been good for explores for me - so 5,400 (and counting) people have seen the title "rarer than a rainbow - the Pentax K-1 draws the attention of an admiring herd of cows" - not that the majority speak English or even read the title :)
Probably my highest 'like' to 'view' ratio yet, though I don't know whether that's a reflection on cows. rainbows or juxtapositions - I like to think the latter :) rarer than a rainbow - the Pentax K-1 draws the attention of an admiring herd of cows by Graham Hobbs, on Flickr[COLOR="Silver"]

It is totally inscrutable - I've had months where I've had more explores that the whole of the next year - many of my (and other people's favourite photos have not featured while lesser ones do - recently (apart from the last, I've been rationed to one a month, in the last third of the month and coming in somewhere in the 300s - if you want a pattern, that's the best I can give you

Explored seems to like Scotland - last time I was there I was getting almost daily explores - this time,my first double in years - both low and late, admittedly, but undoubtedly simultaneous :) rainbovine ii by Graham Hobbs, on Flickr Cairngorm bridge by Graham Hobbs, on Flickr
