Found still life - still life is normally the time I use pixel shift most - I was photofgraphing something else and happened to see my son's camera on the shelf - focus is on the etched MS super in this instance (K-1 with 77mm Ltd - and the vignette is added in PP, btw :)

I just realised the other day that however excited I was at the thoight of pixel shift when it was first introduced, I hardlt ever use it - it's literally 18 months or more since I did,as far as I remember - but looking through this thread makes me realise I could do so far more than I do - worth it for that alone :)

that's a very nice result - quite a painterly setup

true that - I sometimes use it behind to get a totally clean background, but I could use/ move reflectores in the same way.I think I should maybe give it a go :)

TBA I haven't really tested it - there are some places where I seem to unconsciously lapse into the old default film mentality of testing such things costing money and taking time to get the results back :( I suppose part of the trouble also is not wanting to tamper with f-stop or ISO.

Seeing these makes me realise how little I use pixel shift when I could - I played with it at the beginning, but really don't ever use it now except for some still life - not even all that though, as I often use an old lightbox as a light source, and the flicker on that isn't good with ps.
I must be a bit more adventurous!

I haven't used it much outdoors as it's been quite windy, but I took a few still-life type shots, and the detail is truly astonishing - here with the K-1 + 70-200 f/2.8 mine by Graham Hobbs, on Flickr
