The Phoenix 100mm f3.5, Cosina, and Pentax are widely understood to be the same lens.
And the non-Pentax ones were available in manual focus and autofocus.

I have the Pentax one... and the matching 1:1 closeup filter... it is a great little lens, though it is mechanically not as well made as my FA50 Macro...

But I don't have nearly as many convenient dahlias for giving it a workout :)

Tele-Takumar 300mm f6.3
H1a
Expired Plus-X pushed a stop, commercial develop and scan

The bokeh is interesting to me because you get the chain link fence bokeh in the upper part of the photo which goes away when the fence does, and the character of the bokeh changes without all those diamonds in there to make it busy...

Clearly the issue is that for Firefox, you only get full functionality if you think in Russian...

The shots show fine in Safari on an ithing. And nice shots, too...

It's basically all bokeh, but I really liked it...

Pentax MX with SMC-A 50mm f1.4 wide open on Fuji 200.

I have a very similar photo from about 20 years ago of a very similar cat taken with a very similar lens (mine was the PZ version) for a very similar reason (closeup at the right focal length).

Since it was in film days, though, I used a Tiffen warm soft to enhance the Bokeh...

I think it's at f2 but may be wide open...

Pentax SF-1, Takumar-F 70-210, Fuji 200

The Takumar was full of fungus that ate enough of the coatings to still be visible after I cleaned it.

Still, not too bad for this type of thing...

And I really liked the bokeh...

I don't know... and between the aperture and the horrible focusing screen, I can hardly focus the silly thing anyway...
Tele-Takumar 300mm f6.3 preset, at f8 or f11-ish

Pentax H1a with Fuji 200 analog memory cartridge, straight out of camera to the shop, through a bunch of chemicals, onto a CD jpeg...

Despite its faults, the H1a is really a terrific little camera...

One of the first azalea blooms in the yard.
Unexpectedly, with the Pentax-AF 35-70 f2.8 and a Raynox.
At 70mm, probably around f8-11...

And some yellow-blooming weed with some friends...

The lens is a bit of a pain to use, but it makes some really nice photos... and the bokeh is better than I expected.

But the minimum focus distance is hilariously bad for a 35-70 zoom, hence the Raynox...

A prickly situation with the K45-125
Probably f6.3 or f8, minimum focus distance, 125mm...

And I don't know what the plant is, but I like the photo...
About the same setup as above...

I keep forgetting I have this lens, partially because the AF is terrible on the K-01
On the K1, though, it's less horrible, and it's optically pretty good...

A bit of ivy, cross-posted...

I wasn’t a fan of the 200 f4 on APS, mainly because I was using it as a ‘regular’ telephoto and my 70-300 does that better (and with AF).

It’s a very different beast on the K1, more a long portrait lens with a little telephoto fun.

Bokeh is nice enough with it but nothing spectacular. Again, bokeh is better when using it for more portrait-like scenarios.

It also works insanely well with the raynox closeup lenses - so well I bought the A version to get TTL flash...

I think I paid $25 or so for mine, so definitely a terrific bargain...

Cross-posted from the Takumar lens club.

Dog bokeh in the background... does that make it Dog-meh?

Takumar 135mm f2.5 (the earlier one), around f8.

So I may have turned the focus ring the wrong way and randomly snapped as we were going around on the Ferris Wheel...

But I don't usually think of the Zenitar 16mm fisheye as doing, well, any out-of-focus rendering...I liked it more than I expected...

This was at f5.6 or f8.0 and minimum focus distance.

Something more about the bokeh than the subject...

Shot on expired TMAX 100 with a H1a (and please forgive the rinse marks...)
