I love my cheapo Rokinon, mainly because it works better than its price suggests.
That said, I will almost certainly never be in the market for the DFA. I just don’t use that focal length enough.
If I were in the market for the DFA, I would probably pick up a used FA or Sigma if I needed something now, hoping to sell it for close to what I paid for it after the DFA ships.
There are just too many compromises associated with the manual focus of the Samyang/Rokinon if you are invested in high-end portraiture.

This is the simplest path to an answer. Even if the 60-250 was perfectly FF compatible, there would be a $200 difference in price to go from f4 to f2.8... I wonder how many APS shooters went ahead with the 70-200 just for that reason.
I just hope Ricoh is able to walk the right side of the road to master both image quality and pricing. The new Tamron, for example, seems more expensive than I thought it should be... right now it costs more than last season’s f2.8...
