Hehe yeah, that's why I like this shot so much, not so much the main singer but the attention he's getting.
Was the most cramped photo pit I've worked in thus far, about 10 of us in a relatively small cramped venue photo pit

Good job! I wanna go back and do some more from different angles sometime, my wife works close by to that area so another opportunity shall present itself I'm sure.

Ah but careful, that particular shot was cramped to pull off, I had to tripod mount and have the camera as flush against the wall (or actually those digital/lit up advertising posters in this case, because that's where lining up the middle was approximately), flip the KP screen out and operate blind by touch from the side. If you plan to crouch or have your body behind the camera you will not get this framing. It made for painful shooting experience, because even getting a proper look at the tilt screen was difficult, I took several shots and had to dismount the KP from the tripod but be careful to not move the tripod so I could redock it back if I needed to, and I did because some shots I was clipping the top slightly (and had too much floor lol). I was kicking myself slightly wishing I had perhaps brought along my Sigma 10-20 (which I might do next time if I am nearby).
It's a pretty cool feature, lots of potential to shoot it differently. I did a HDR merge, I'm a little disappointed with the starburst but then that's the HD DA 15mm for ya...
Don't make the same mistake I made either, shoot it from other angles, I regret just hitting it from this straight on perspective. Good luck and I look forward to seeing the results!

Dramtic, slightly weird but fun, me like.
I think this is why I like photography so much, countless interpretations over a single image with not necessarily a clear 'best' version but just rather 'different' versions. That's art I guess. The mini Post Processing challenges hosted here are good demonstrations of that point I think.

Does it just turn the bokeh into star bursts? Hmm...

Lovely shot, I sometimes wish I had the regular 'green' DA15mm for those superior star bursts over my silver 'red' DA15mm, tho it does match my silver KP rather nicely :)
I think it's a great shot.
Slightly off topic... is there any way to 'chuck' something over my silver 'red' DA15mm, a filter of sorts that might help with street night photography, so that I too can maximise my star burst potential? Anyone??
Cheers,
Bruce

Nice one, and first time seeing a link to Instagram here, cool, followed (eddysummersphotography).
I think focus is overrated lol, especially in todays medium where places like instagram yer not overly pixelpeeping and you can get the jist anyway. Other things like with your shot, long exposure, composition, colours, subject matter, they are more important than slightly off focus or not quite near perfect. Nice shot.

Haha! Well... I know very little about drones, but I was talking to a mate of mine about them the other day and I mentioned how it would be super neat if I could attach some glass I already own onto one, but that I wasn't sure if the technology was at that point yet and you had to use lighter all-in-one systems etc.
