So many times, I am setting up for a shot and something flies in or out of the frame and I don't react fast enough. ....Not this time. This guy flew in right as I pressed the shutter. I pressed two more times. This was the second shot. HD 55-300

I had my 55-300 on my camera and wanted to take some pictures of some plates I was working on in my pottery studio. Normally, I'd switch to a wider lens, but I took a few pictures anyway with the 55-300. This one was with the zoom at 190mm, f8, ISO 2500, 1/100 sec.
