Two second timer, Cactus V6ii, and K-S2 Issues

I do a bunch of comparison shots, with and without flash. With my 'without' shots, I used 2 sec timer to reduce shake. I sometimes forget to change drives when I go for the 'with' shots.

When I mounted my flash directly on my camera this wasn't a problem - it'd still take the shot, whatever!

When I moved to off-camera flash I ran into this problem and @mcgregni had the perfect solution for me.

Make sense now?

Hi thanks in advance if you can help!

I have a K-S2 set up with Cactus V6ii triggers firing a AF360FGZ.

If I have 2 second timer selected, there is a 'test' shot when the mirror flips up, and the flash doesn't have enough juice (or the Cactus isn't receiving properly) for when the curtain falls - no flash.

This is not the case when I have the flash mounted directly on the K-S2! There is still the 'test shot' before, however the flash remains charged enough or it's receiving better signal - it flashes.

Anyone else experiencing this, is there a way around it?

Thanks!
