I have increased my reliance on pentax products recently. I own my second pentax digital which is a K-3 and I use it professionally to take photos of my jewelry creations. Have gravitated to using the Pentax 200mm F4 MACRO for real professional quality photos. Started with M 50mm F1.7 with extension tubes in the film era along with my M 28-50mm Zoom with extension tubes. With the reflection of the camera and the photographer in the jewelry it seemed like I was taking selfies before the term was coined. 30 years later I have finally figured out thanks to unlimited information on the internet and trial and error starting with the DA 35mm LTD which is an awesome lens, then the F 100mm 2.8 Macro, and flirting with the wonderful F 50mm f2.8 Macro I have now settled for the A * 200mm F4 ED MACRO which gives me room for lighting props and the camera is far enough away that I'm not taking reflective selfies.

I am now also enjoying taking high quality photos of family, landscapes, wildlife, flora and fauna. Next is to beautify my surroundings of prints made from all these photo's

You can see a lot of my photo's on flickr. Daniel Sommerfeld | Flickr

I am still learning a lot so I really invite your comments and advice on all my photo's. I look forward to interacting with many of you. I have a lot of very good pentax macro lenses if anyone needs or would like to acquire one.

Kindest Regards,
Daniel
