Thanks for all the responses everyone, really appreciate it. I know that everything is in good working order, for the most part it all looks good as well, there are a few scratches and old tape residue on some items, but it was used quite a bit im sure. Thanks again and I will probably be posting it up for sale soon enough in the forums.

Kyle.

Hi everyone, I don't shoot with Pentax anymore, but am helping a friend sell his older Pentax film gear that he doesnt use anymore. I only ever shot with Pentax Digital SLR's and never really shot with the Film camera's or researched much background information on them. I need to post these items up for sale but really have no clue what there worth. I do know that the 15mm is extremely rare. I would appreciate any insight possible. Pics below. Thanks alot,

Kyle.

By looking at your pictures it seems that you were using way to slow of a shutter speed. The word dusk and action don't go together at all. There isnt enough available light to be able to use a fast shutter speed. The only way to shoot action at dusk would be to use an external flash. Try taking the same pictures in the day with a shutter speed faster then 1/250th of a second. Make sure your nailing your focus as well.

Thanks for all the comments, and it isnt actually an HDR, just the use of ND's and Grad ND's. Thanks,

Kyle.

Very very nice shots, I can only imagine how tricky it is to nail focus when you have something that close/moving around. Nice work!

Thanks for all the comments guys, I'm actually from southern ontario but have been living in thunder bay for school for a couple years. It definatly has some nice sights. This factory was located down near the north end of town I belive, over the bridge and right down by the water. I'm bad with directions in Thunder Bay so I hope that explains things. The picture is an HDR but created with one RAW file. Here's a picture I took of the sleeping giant last weekend at sunrise, beautiful. Thanks again

Kyle.

Ownuser Battery Grip FBH-P3 for K10D/K20D

I had the Ownuser grip when I had my K110, it wasnt to bad at all. I belive that it comes with the clips for using different batteries. And yeah, you definatly have to leave the door open to have it plugged in on the side, which I wasnt the biggest fan of seeing as I do alot of winter photography. It all comes down to personal preference, but in terms of Battery grips for the K100 and 110, that's pretty much your only option.

My favourite backdrop of all time actually, a window with harsh daylight, with the subject in shadows, obviously exposing for the shadows. Thanks alot for the comments.

Ghetto Lighting Product Macro

Not bad at all considering the circumstances. I made a quick and simple light box not to long ago using a large cardboard box and various sheets of bristol (sp?) board, in various colors, using a flash on either side. It took very little time to construct and I got awesome reults. You'll get more even lighting using a light from either side diffued rather then one from above. I recommend spending the time on that. And if you dont have any flashes you could get away using two small lamps with high wattage bulbs close to the diffusion. I'm constructing a more rugged lightbox at the moment out of mdf wood, with proper diffusion, sort of a go to for future product shots.

Very nice lighting, I like the use of shadows to break up the side/back light and the key. Nice and Low key.

Just wanted to post one of the classic 16mm camera's of it's time. Have a shoot tommorow using it with a friend. Was the first camera we used to shoot film with at school before we moved on to Arriflex's. A true classic. Shot with a 50-135mm.

I used to own the same lens and let me tell you, it's a nice piece of glass. Built like a tank and super sharp, along with some very nice bokeh to go along with that. I missed it the second I sold it.

DA*50-135 Questions

Are you zooming in and focusing and then zooming back out? If this problem is occuring when you do that, then yes, there is probably an issue with the lens. Focus shouldnt change at all when doing this. If your focusing then zooming in and it's doing it, it could just be that you think your subject is in focus, but youve just missed it.
