LBA, GAS, do you have it and does it make sense?

The only thing as bad as having LBA/GAS is looking on *those* sites and having the dreaded "I'm broke/on a tight budget but I want that one! And that one. And that one. Oooh and that one." but only able to bid on one thing :(

If you had to pick one B&W film to shoot for a while (bulk loading) what would it be?

Since youre going to do indoor photography, I'd go with 400 speed. As for film I suggest going with Kentmere (drys very flat).

Link: Image Sensors World: Curve-One to Bring Curved Sensors to Market

Seems really interesting, wounder if they are going to do sensors for Dslr's since they are releasing sensors for "civil applications (cameras, civil drone)". Wounder if Pentax would get their sensors from Curve-One instead from Sony if the price is right (and cheaper than Sony)

The Canon Eos R is already a striped down version of the 5D4 (aka a 5D4 lite) which they've gotten alot of flak for it, and as I see it a more striped down version of the Eos R isnt going to go good for them IF its true.

I would suggest checking out Better Scanning (Custom film holders for Agfa, Microtek, Canon and Epson film scanners.) for film holders for flatbed scanners, have heard alot of people having alot of better results with them instead of Epson's stuff.

How many film cameras do you have?

I have a camera similiar to it, a Kalimar K-90 TTL 1000 in K-mount (there's another version of it that came out in a C/Y mount). The one I have, the body style is similiar to the Centon K100 & Vivitar V3300SE (albeit different specs), no back bump (?) on the back right hand side though.

Pentax Mirrorless should use a shortened 645 mount

New mount means new lenses, which is what Pentax has been behind on releasing the last few years for K-mount. They have a long way to go on updating/releasing new modern lenses for what they have now before even thinking about a new mount.

Yeah, I think the it'll vary from photo to photo too. And if you go towards the "extreme macro" side of things (eg 1.5:1) & take 2 (or more) photos, you may see a difference there.

K3ii replacement

Yeah even though Pentax has come out saying they make "field" cameras, which pretty much makes 'em a "poor-mans Hasselblad" (which isn't a bad thing), that will only work for them for so long in the apsc/FF field.

If they (Ricoh) wants to gain more users/make the current user-base happy, some of the "minimum requirements" they should do is to increase the buffer (~40+), more AF points (~90+), both card slots UHS-II compatible, usb-3, & improved video. For the K-1II replacement, it doesnt have to match Nikon's D850 in every spec, but even if it can get close to it in some areas, I see alot of Pentax users being happy.

Pentax compatibility w/ Zhiyun

It should work fine with the K-1, it all depends on what lens (prime, zoom) & accessories (mic, etc.) you add on it as it will add weight to it, because each crane can support up to a maximum amount of weight.

But to make 100% sure, I would suggest emailing the company to see if it is before buying it.

Yeah, I've read something similiar online. Some people where saying it was more similiar to the Kentmere film's in terms of both films having similiar developing times & both drying flat.

Question about bidding on a Bulk loader

Yeah, I was looking at Developing tanks on ebay recently, but the prices there are like "Really?" A majority of them pretty much the same price (with shipping) as a one new from B&H or Adorama. Luckily, found someone online in my city thats selling one for pretty cheap (and hopefully hasnt sold it yet), but my phone isnt working so once it gets fixed Im gonna hit him up.

Yeah for film I've been thinking about getting Ultrafine Xtreme 100 ISO film, can get it from their site for ~$45 (shipping & tax included), which saves me a few bucks on that end.

---------- Post added 11-14-18 at 06:17 PM ----------

Plus, Ive been looking at other film camera's & have been like William Shatner's James Kirk:
"No! Must! Not! Buy/Bid! On this camera! Must save money! For other stuff!"
