Had to look up, Robin Perry, the photographer in the article. He passed away in 2005. Looks like he had a full life, was a Veteran, POW who escaped in WWII.

I had to read up on what a view camera was. Could you explain in more detail how you used the window with a nylon sheet? Trying to understand how your set up works. For just playing around that pic looks pretty damn cool!;)

Pentax 6x7 150mm f2.8 Kodak Ektar 100

After putting on dual custom grips on my "new" 6x7 last year, I finally started using it. Used my 1965 Chevy for practice.

for a Pentax ME is what I would like to find. Tried 3 or 4 other types, got close but would like a better fit. Anyone come across a proper solution?

As much as I like your photo, it must have been a great experience to actually be there and see that view...really cool with the clouds covering what lies below, and the snow capped mountains....awesome.

I posted both to show what I did with a side by side. I was not trying to offend you, and I can see how it can be taken that way by me posting an altered shot of the photo, which is like me saying " hey this looks better" it was more of a friend saying those pesky cables are in the view of a great shot.

My apologies for not asking first, all I did was remove the power lines or gondola cables that were in the image. There was the option to download the image on flickr, so that is what I did to do the removal. I have not used the altered photo anywhere else, just posted it on here as I thought it was a great shot.

Lens hood off center

I did try a jewelers standard head (regular) as they are not phillips screwheads on this lens hood. As I mentioned in my original post they did not budge, and they have been in there for a very long time. I am going to leave it as is. Thanks for your feedback anyway.

---------- Post added 01-19-19 at 10:20 AM ----------

Phil, yep the hood is the old metal Takumar screw-in hood. I will just get a dedicated 150mm metal hood. The seller probably didn't know that the 105/2.4 hood didn't fully align and sold it that way, as I didn't know either until it was on the camera. Some could live with a slight off alignment of the lens hood as you can see in my photo, but once I saw it...well not for me.:) Thanks!

Lens hood off center

Just picked up a 150mm 6x7 lens that came with a lens hood. It fits on and goes to full lock but it is off center a bit.

The hood is marked for the 6x7 f2.4 105mm lens, I know the 150mm and 135mm share a lens hood and is marked as such.

It looks like one could try taking out the VERY SMALL flathead screws that join the inner piece to the outer piece of the hood, and then try turning it to line up better?

Those screws have been in there for decades, and I gave them a try but they are in there good, and don't want to break them.

Anyone else had this issue?

The belt clip looks great! I thought it was going to be in silver as I never looked at the links with the items for sale. So to get it in black was even better. Thanks ctrout!

I figured it had to be at least that, but was curious.

Your photo reminded me I still have to run a roll of film through my Pentax 6x7 with the 55mm 3.5 lens I picked up several months ago.

Thanks for the inspiration;)
