They say the K-1 has too many buttons? Then I guess the D850, D5, and D6 are terrible cameras because they have even more buttons.

I recently got a Kenko MC7 2x teleconverter and a Kenko Pro 3x TC. I quickly tested them both and the 2x looks like it will be resold. I'll be keeping the 3x.

A powered paraglider flying over a beach on Long Island. Pentax K-3II and Sigma 300/2.8 with Sigma EX DG 1.4x TC (with a bit of post-processing). I actually work at this beach and this same guy was out flying earlier in the summer.

For what it's worth, I don't put much stock in what random strangers are saying on the internet about a serious global health problem. Instead, I prefer to trust a professional medical expert with over 50 years of experience in public health and infectious diseases.

I was referring to the fact that you can't contract COVID directly from these COVID vaccines, not that you won't contract COVID after receiving one.

Both the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines aren't live virus vaccines, though. It's actually a snippet of viral DNA that codes for the spike proteins on the shell of the virus. You can't shed the virus from this vaccine because there is no virus in this vaccine. Can't contract it and you can't spread it from these vaccines.

It was a quick read but I just finished Shade by Pete Souza. Pretty entertaining book and all the nice pictures help too. Now I have a Fundamental Accounting Principles textbook on my desk now.

This honestly looks like a solution looking for a real problem. Even though I don't have one, I prefer Lowepro's solution with their elegantly simple ProTactic Lens Exhange.

I have a Sigma 1.4x TC but I've looking at getting a 2x as well. I've tried 2x's in the past but they've all been the very cheap, $10 TC that are really wastes of money. From what I've read, these two, the Kenko and Sigma are pretty good for 2x TC but how do they compare. I can get the Kenko more easily and for less money but does that also come along with more IQ loss than the Sigma?

Well I've been in contact with a number of machine shops nearby and unfortunately, but not unexpectedly, they all quote prices of between $250 to upwards of $500 to CNC this one piece. One shop has actually offered to ask around at some camera shops to see if there's any interest in selling it to bring the price down. That would be great but unfortunately it's a pretty niche product.

I think the best solution would be the Pentax DA 1.4x. But yeah it's a pretty slow lens (I have the sibling lens 50-500 OS HSM so the aperture usage is pretty similar) and I don't think would work all too well with a TC. I've tried the 50-500 with a Sigma 1.4 manually focusing and got pretty meh results. The viewfinder was very dark and sharpness was rather low.

So recently I've been looking at getting a small dry cabinet to store my camera and lenses in when I'm not out shooting. Right now I keep all my lenses in 2 bags with desiccant packs but I've read that really isn't a great idea. I don't want to spend more than I need to but I do have a few lenses that I don't use often so they just sit in a separate bag until I decide to take them out. I live in lower New York so it doesn't get extremely humid very often but the humidity can still tick up.
