Thank you guys.
I only had a chance to shot her posing three times, briefly, the rest was just snapping, or action. She is so easy to work with, and for some reason she likes my vision of her. Maybe because from the first time we met I saw her differently than other photographers, who knows.
That set last weekend was for editing in photoshop later, in old masters paintings style. That's why I tried to pose her for the "painting", but it came out not bad with just a minor re-touch.

It's Tamron 28-75mm f2.8 mostly at f5.6-8, still new to me, and don't like it very much. It's weird lens, imo, but it's good walking around range.

It's too hot for me now, which makes it difficult to work outside. I actually loved hurricane cool weather, and I was outside so many times during the hurricane enjoying it. :)

Thanks, Tonytee.
Yes, some trees here can't grow deep here, our neighborhood was build on dried Everglades, mostly rocks and a bit soil.

So true. We were very lucky.

Sure! Let's do it. Right now. Do you have teleport? :D

We already have nasty weather here in South Florida, in Broward. It will be till Monday. Wind is getting stronger as the eye is closer. Still we are extremely lucky that the eye goes on the west side.
Hope you will not get much of Irma!

Here is my neighbor cuts aluminum shutters yesterday night, around 1 am. I took a break, and rushed inside to grab the camera. Not perfect lighting, but it's documentary. Kind of :)
Everybody was working hard preparing for cat 5 Irma. We are so lucky to get only cat 3 going with the eye changed its way to the west from us.
Preparation was intense. Better safe than sorry.

There is a mother with two babies lives in palm trees next to my house. Today morning they showed up on the tree, for the first time.

The mother and one of her kiddos. I hope they will survive Irma. As all of us here.

I received the bracket today. It works well, and not very heavy. Good price for starting when it's unclear how often I actually will use it.

Steve, I'm very happy with it, easy to use. The only problem is rolled film, it's hard to scan the roll. I had no problem with strips, and so far I've not scanned any of rolls I have.
I don't know it's either me, or the scanner, but when film is not flat (in roll) the sharpness is not that perfect as with flat cuts.

After asking the same question here I bought Pacific Image Prime Film XA. I believe that cheaper Pacific Image model will also do a good job.

Thank you, guys. I still don't know if I will use that setup, the more important to know that it fits. It's totally new territory to spend so much to enter for now.

Flash bracket for K-1?

I need a flash bracket, mostly for K-1, and occasionally for K-5iis. Not expensive, but reliable. So far I'm thinking about this one

Vello QuickDraw Rotating Flash Bracket CB-100 B&H Photo Video

It's cheap, has pretty good ratings, and the handle is on opposite side of grip. It's hard to tell from the picture if will fit K-1.
What bracket would you recommend?

My copy is sharp wide open, and it's a nice lens, but I could not see anything special. It reminds me good, reliable DA50mm f1.8.

There is no email of order confirmation, nothing except transaction info on PP. Nothing. I can't login with number of order, and I did not create my account with Acon, I just used PP to pay. They took money from my account, that's all.
I wrote them today, will see what happens. Seems like they did not ship package yet. Wow...

I'm still waiting for my R930. They took the money almost one month ago, did not send any confirmation. I sent them email after the purchase as instructed on their site. And nothing since.

How long does it take to receive the package? Definitely not 14 days.

When I say 'sporty' I mean that the belt with pockets makes the whole impression like I'm going to hike in woods. I prefer more neutral look, not screaming it's a camera bag, and not making me looking like I just went back from the mountain )))
Plus, all those models with big belt I've tried go too low for the belt to be comfortable. I don't want to take a chance and add more to the cost of returns, kind of tired of losing money that way.

Finally I finished the insert for Osprey Daylight.
Here are the pictures with a bit explanation. In case someone wants to repeat that pain :)

I decided to stitch by hands partly because I was lazy to take out my sewing machine I've not used for a couple of years, and partly because I could use the machine for only covering the foam.
Molding the shape with polyethylene packing foam was the most time consuming part to make the insert fitting perfectly, and leave the room for the fabric as well.

Then it was time to do the "upholstery" of every single piece of foam. I bought the yard of Veltex loop fabric, it's velcro, so I can put dividers wherever I need. I don't not need to make divides, have plenty of them from the collection of bags for now.

The backpack inner pocket fits my Dell XPS 13" laptop. Not like I'm going to take it outside all the time, but it's good to know that I can. The laptop size is 8x12 inches. There is also a water pocket on the back, good for the wallet to carry close to the back. It's also small front pocket, for batteries, cellphone, memory card.

The final look, holds K-1 with DA*300, still place either for 2 or even 3 primes, or flash. It may fit two cameras with primes, and probably the flash (need to try it ). Sirui small travel tripod fits perfectly in the side pocket, secured with the strap.

So far I like this as a replacement for camera slings and bags. It's light, small, breezy, and not black! :D

Yes, I saw those two. They seem to be comfortable, but too "sporty" for urban/park walking.

My Daylight Osprey, however, now is a bit small since I'm adding the insert. Hopefully will finish today. Not a big fan of molding the custom shape insert, it's a pain. I should buy Daylight plus, or use thinner foam for the insert. Too late to re-do.
And like MindShift and Off Road, it will have top access to the gear, but I would prefer classic style, simple, sturdy camera backpack, but not with cheap outdated fabric and hardware.
Nothing is perfect :)
