You're missing the point here :D
It's about composition ideas, not about her or his camera execution or postprocessing
I like the idea behind it and asked if you could help me think of something similar so I can shoot something better than "stupid couple pose"

Hi

Can you give me some ideas for photo tripping with girlfriend;
I would like to have some fixed composition setups to use at different locations, something like Murad Osmann's "Follow me to"

Any idea is appreciated,

Thanks

Pentax 55-300mm DA L plastic mount repair/replacement

I will copy my post here to for the search engines, if it isn't approved please delete it

I had mine DA L 18-55 dropped too and the screw threads dropped off, the AF wasn't working because of that.
Today I had an DIY idea and it works!!

1. the plastic sheets cut off from some cheap packaging plastic
2. punched a holes wide enough to push a screw through, but tight enough not to let the head of the screw to pass through
3. tighten the screws - the plastic just holds the mount and the screws close together, it's thin enough for screws to go in and dont scratch the camera mount and it's softer than metal so it can't damage your camera

Tried it, screwing the lens on is a tiny bit harder but thats expected, and it works like a charm

I know some of you broken the whole ring, but if you manage to superglue that plastic and make this you have your cheap reserve (or even main) all-rounder ready to serve

Cheers

Can't focus on far-away objects, is my lens faulty?

Thank you all for your time.

Yes, the lens dropped with camera at some point and was my bad luck that I couldn't notice the damage right away because I believe I would get refunded by the damage dealer. The thing is that lens can be mounted properly, but that plastic holder isn't screwed tight in the lens body anymore. When I point the camera up or when I hold the lens close to the body, the AF works perfectly fine. But when I point it down the weight does it's thing and the lens moves a tiny bit away from the body and the AF screw can't hit the AF notch on the lens.

I taped that plastic cover to the lens to hold it closer together and now it functions properly BUT it can't focus to infinity when it's on focal length shorter than 25mm

I'm saving for DA 35mm F2.4 AL or/and Tamron 17-50, not liking the idea to spend on this kit lens which is overpriced in my area

The screw holes are broken off the shiny plastic part and now screws don't hold it firmly and the AF doesn't work properly
I can't glue them because they broke in pieces and I don't have them anymore

Hello

I have the same problem but it's coming from another source. The mount of the DAL 18-55 - the plastic part holding covering all the screws, AF ridge and contacts (deep shiny black on the pic) - doesn't hold on to the lens and because of that the AF screw is having problems staying in touch with the lens

I taped the plastic to the outside of the lens but the tape isn't that strong and its a bit stretchy and every part of a milimeter counts for AF confirmation.
Does anyone has a better solution or is there a way to buy a new plastic part of the mount for less than 55$?

Many thanks

hello

Just wanted to give a simple solution - try to press the lens hard as close to the body as you can, especially the place around the AF screw then duct tape it
the tape will keep the lens and the body close and the AF screw will be happy
