Wrong category and wrong thread ... should be in "non-Pentax" and under something other than "abstract"!
How do I change that?

Still off- topic ... but I would assume that this will continue with the K3 III:

How about just "format" that card in camera, like Ursus said previously?
That is just what I always do and encountered no problem whatsoever.

I read somewhere that it is even better to use some sort of other "software" to make sure all little bits are truly gone.

Optech/USA ... I have three of them, especially one for my K3 + Da*300/4 + grip .

Tough, reliable.

I also have the "harness" (also from Optech/USA). That one sure would fit the bill!!

Totally agreed!
For birding photography (BIF shots), AF-C tracking is a must!
I can't hardly wait until this (maybe?) materializes with the K3 III. :)

That is a very interesting thread !

So, what if I wanted to have a 24" x 36" print out of a K3 file (or even my K5)?
I should not even think about it?
I would assume, according to the latest posts here about printing from "huge" files, that I should not print that large from a K3 (or K5) file?
It would look awful, right? Maybe not?

Would the same print out of this new Fuji 100 MP camera be so much better? Details?

My budget sure isn't that of a K1, so forget about a 100MP Fuji! :(

Is there a way to find that in a K7?

A "Beep" of some sort with a simultaneous (flashing) visual indication on both top and rear LCD's signaling the absence of a card?;)
How hard could this be implemented via software? :hmm:

Interesting option: could you then use "slide" film?
Is this a reversible option: convert to 35mm then you'd want it back to 127 film?

Thanks for the hint !! :)
There are a lot to choose from. I also read in the little booklet that comes with the camera that one can use Kodacolor film.
Imagine! Colour prints with that little thing of the 40's-50's.
Anyway, I'll probably order a roll of B&W and color ... if I can find the latter.
Any suggestions?

Cleaning up an old house and we found that very high tech Beacon II camera in a small box deep in a closet!
That little camera is in MINT condition!!! The (accessory) flash -also in mint condition - was probably purchased separately at the time of acquiring it by whomever.
Searching (Google)... :

" The Beacon II Camera was manufactured from approximately 1947 to 1955 by Whitehouse Products Inc., of Brooklyn New York. Like the original Beacon camera, the Beacon II was made of plastic bakelite with a built-in view finder. The Beacon II was improved with the addition of an optional synchronized flash, that made it resemble a light house, making the name more appropriate. It was capable of capturing sixteen color or black and white exposures on number 127 roll film. It was fitted with an two optically ground 46mm Whitmar coated and color corrected lenses and a simple instantaneous shutter providing a single speed of approximately 1/50 and also time setting. It featured a safety lock shutter to prevent accidental exposures, a red window to view exposure count. It was originally priced at $9.95 for the camera with an additional $4.95 for the flash unit."
