Though I did capture some images yesterday, I have not yet DL'd, so I will probably post for Thursday and Friday sometime today.

I agree, and it has paid off for me as online storage of many of my favorite photos.

I fall in the camp that believes that actual filters in front of the lens are better than PP filters.

Lots of great lens suggestions.

I don't know how much your voucher is worth, but consider this lighting kit. The Lume Cube offers a lot of bang for the buck, and is in a small package

Cant you just change the tags for the proper lens and move them to a different album?

In an effort to put use Flickr to showcase my images to other users, I cull my worst shots every month.
My criteria for worst include:
1. Technically bad images
2. Images which got few views.
3. Images which are too generic or essentially duplicates of other images I have posted.
4. Images of which I've since made better copies.
5. Images which were not interesting enough to get comments, despite getting "faves"

I will post some of these culled images to my PF gallery it I want to share them in a themed thread.

I definitely appreciate it.

I am glad I decided to try the DA 21mm on the K-1 before putting it up for sale, just my test shots are showing some serious pixie dust.

Interesting idea. In 2019, I took two separate vacations of 10-15 days each, and a few long weekends. I'm trying not to go stir crazy or mourn for the trips we had to cancel this year, so I'm spending time editing travel pix from 2019 and reliving the good times. I'm also making a list of destinations for 2021. If I continue to save money and time off, maybe 2021 will be the year I finally get to the southern hemisphere, Australia and New Zealand specifically.

One benefit of working from home is seeing photo opportunities around my home and garden that I usually miss during the workday. IN the spce of an hour I had multiple shots of an area outside my window that look nondescript when I am home, but the mid-morning light made it into a place worth capturing, and I had my Daily - In shot for 1 Jun wrapped up before my third cup of coffee.

Since I am usually working away from home, and have to fit the work day images into whatever is convenient to my commute, I might take a detour to try and catch a good subject, the weekend shooting might actually be planned, but it is just as often that I find myself at the 11th hour trying to capture something, anything to meet the deadline. That's why my motto is "Desperation drives inspiration"

FWIW, a few of us have accomplished the selfie day with a 500mm lenses. Get creative!

Whether you use it on APS-C or FF, the FA 77mm is worth purchasing, and at the prices I've seen recently for used copies here on PF, everyone should consider adding one to their kit.
It rewards proper technique , and is extremely capable in every situation.

Finally caught up on posting some images, now on to commenting.

Our children were all back home for a brief visit, so we updated some family pictures courtesy of a pro who gave us a good deal. We first used our yard in front of our house, then went to a nearby park. It was really interesting to watch a someone who earns a living as a full time professional work at his craft. He was prepared, and professional and really friendly, with a good eye for locations and framing.. He sent us a few shots, and they came out wonderfully, I am looking to see the whole package.

Watching a live broadcast of the Dropkick Murphys from Fenway Park.

It's pretty great to watch, lots of great camera work, including drones.

I miss seeing live baseball, and hearing live music in person.

DFA 85mm f/1.4 Now on Ricoh's Website

I'm holding out for the K-new and DFA 85mm bundle, I'm sure the Black Friday deal will make it affordable.

Seriously, I am sure it's going to be a high quality lens, and good on Ricoh/Pentax for putting out what looks to be a real attention getter, I hope they sell enough to encourage more new lenses.

As for the rest of us, if you haven't tried the FA 77mm, it is an incredible lens, for people whose style it suits.
Gently used copies often show up on the PF market place at very good prices.
