According to this rumor site:
Mitakon Speedmaster 135mm f/1.4 lens now available in 7 different mounts | Photo Rumors

QuoteQuote:

The Mitakon Speedmaster 135mm f/1.4 lens is "relaunch" with several additional mounts: Canon EF, Nikon F, Pentax K, Sony E, Sony A, Fujifilm G and Leica T (I assume they mean Leica L mount). The price of the lens is 330,000 excluding tax (around $2,900).

The DA55 ist almost perfect on an APS-C sensor, but it is probably not good enough (for the pixel peeper) on full frame.
It seems that you have to be that big to get near perfection on FF.

So basically the situation is this?

- Firmware 1.4 does not fix it
- Pentax is aware of the problem
- Not all cameras are affected
- It is a sensor calibration problem
- It may be that newer cameras are better, but we don't know that.

Basically any WA lens is a macro lens.

Flat field means that if you focus exactly on the center, the corners are equally sharp.
Often the fast lenses (1.4 and higher) suffer from field curvature, resulting in soft corners.
So, if you are into photographing postal stamps, this may be an issue.

I have also read that lenses that are symmetrically built, like the 50/1.7, are better for macro.

The image shows holes in the adapter.
There are two possible pins that may have snapped in here:
1. The lens release pin. Press the lens release button.
2. The AF motor shaft. Try to press it down, when rotating.
Look carefully in those holes if you can see a pin.

On my MX I had the Tokina 3,5-4,5/28-70 which has the A-setting.
It was a good lens.

A very good, but rare lens of that aera is the Tokina 2.8/60-120.
I once owned it and was very pleased with it, but sold it, when I gave up film.

One of the better AF lenses is the FA 3.2-4.5 / 28-105.

Pentax K 28mm f2 or Carl Zeiss Distagon T* ZK 28mm f/2 lens for Pentax K

I once owned the K28/2 and tested it in sharpness and contrast.
In both cases there was no difference to the A/M 28/2, which are also excellent. I also tested close focus, if the floating elements have an effect, but no difference.
Since I couldn't find the K28/2 to be any better than the A/M 28/2, I sold it.
I kept the A28/2.

If one wants to test those lenses do astro.
Here optical aberrations can be easily seen.

I have three lenses where I can make a direct comparison:
A 105/2.8
B 120/2.8
C 135/2.5

I measured directly behind the aperture ring:

Takumars:
A 5,60 cm
B 5,60 cm
C 6,50 cm

K-mount:
A 5,85 cm
B 5,85 cm
C 6,60 cm

Measured with a caliper.
