City people think in minutes. Country people think in weeks. I'm neither so I don't think.

Doesn't matter to my phobia. Just the black and yellow stripes. Funnily enough the much more painful hornets with black and white stripes don't freak me out.

It has been a miserable wet day here. We had some visitors that were damper (and not so pretty) as usual. I stressed out the K-3+DA55-300 (non WR) through a double paned glass door hand held and got these results. Not so shabby. ISO was high at 3200, aperture was maximum at 5.8, shutter speeds on the low range. EXIF on the images.

Nice shot. Was that a "country" or a "city" wee while? We need close definitions of strange foreign expressions.

Changing my opinion: My opinion is that the apparent flaw is actually merely an artifact of the lighting used to take the photo.

Today, looking while sitting under a floor lamp with a circular shade, the reflection from the shield matches the OP's snap. I have had no problems with my K-3 and shuttercount.com tells me 23,562 as of yesterday.

This was the top <$300 recommended receiver/amp. Tomorrow I'll hook up the speakers and input devices. I tested quickly in a test bed mode, and everything works fine. Tomorrow I'll get some good speaker wires and finish setting it up. The remote is a bit wimpy, so I have to rearrange things so that I can run it without getting out of my chair. (I don't need exercise enough to do that: my exercise meter says I did 12,275 steps over 9.1 km today on a walk with my wife.)

That slot 1 doesn't look like the one in my K-3. The curved back thing isn't there.

Question on memory cards

I prefer SanDisk. I have a couple I bought with my K10D in 2007 that are still 100% functional. I always format in camera. I seldom delete in camera, and only do so when running off the end of the card in an emergency. (I do use Continuous High ....). I second the motion above that the write speed should be 90 or higher. I bought a couple of 80's at the Source and the buffer clearing times were terrible.

DFA 150-450 and 9 point AF failure on K3

If the AF is "auto" as in select the area, it will almost invariably select the closest point with any contrast to it. That option invariably gives me indigestion, not to mention out of focus images.

I could also be part of a defective SD card that came apart in the slot. Check any cards you have removed for damage.

Yeah, I think this forum is inhabited by a bunch of people with a really bad case of the virus curiosity, and they use cameras to document what they find.
