Number 1 and more especially 6, are stunners. I find the 55 very slow if moving from person to person, say at kids party, but if tracking one person it is fine. Dare I say that I tried a D700 the other day, all I can say is AF is FAST.

I know you say there may not be a lot of realism in your photographs, but I beg to differ. Your pictures are the ones many will dream to take, but either don't see the image possibility, or having seen it, have the skill or effort to take the shot. Your link is amazing.

I agree re the family shots, especially where the photographer has captured a look he may see often, and created a family life image.

Lovely subject and showing the qualities of lens and photographer. Is that a "Sophie giraffe"? My daughter was attached to hers for a long time.

Tommyx, he is so very photogenic, I really like this set, especially the first and last.

Yasik, I think this is a first class portrait, and like the fact that it is in these colours and not b&w.

Simon, great composition, the eye is really led from bottom left, up along the diagonal. Nice colour treatment.

In the UK they charge on the shipping and insurance, so it is not just the cost of the item. Then if you receive it from some of the big delivery companies, you get handling charges and are always invoiced for the custom duty, and taxed for the pleasure. This usually adds between 24 and 30% to the cost.

Thanks for doing this, only just found it. In the three sets , the ones I preferred before knowing which was which, all turned out to be taken with the 43.
So thanks for that, as I thought I was cured from LBA!
I suppose I could squeeze one in between the 28 and 55.

You must handle these before making your choice. I had convinced myself that Pentax was the way to go, but eventually tried the Pentax, not having the focus limiter is a deal breaker when using it as a telephoto lens...makes no odds in macro as manual focus is the way to go.
