I may just take mine apart for the experience. It die a horrible death a few months after the repair. fell about 4or 5 feet off my tripod. cracked the housing messed the meter up. I tried to use it in M mode that worked for a few days then it decided to over expose one shot then under expose then correct the over the correct then under etc. no idea what exposure you would actually get till checking the shot. Even back to back shots with the same settings, the exposure would be different. In other words It is none working period.

I agree they are over exposed. Remember the moon is actually pretty bright. My guess looking at these that there is a filter on the front of the lens.. I have had the sme results when I forgot to remove my filter whileshooting night scenes

I really like the simplicity of the shot.

A huge sigh of relief. I thought you had caught me out and about somehow. I take horrible pictures. They tend to look so much like me.
Nice capture and title.

On the bayonet mount lenses( I don't use any M42 mount lenses so not sure about this with them), you need to go into the camera's menu and select allow aperture ring. I am not sure why Pentax does it this way but they do. I use several old/ legacy glass on my DSLR's

New focusing screen for K5IIs

You might try finding a dead body for a donor screen. or replace it with an aftermarket screen. I have a split prism in my K-S2 that I took out of my dead K-30. It helps me focus my older manual lenses. I also do not recommend cleaning the screen. I thought that was pretty much a no-no. since they are soft and easily scratched.

I could offer mine out of my K-30 but I have no way to ship it safely other than in camera. Shipping might be a bit expensive to Sweden.

Yes you can mount them. You will need to go into the menu and enable use of the aperture ring. That way you can use the M lenses fully. Metering is bit different with the M lens as well It also will only work fully in M mode.Where you set everything. there are articles here that spell it out fully. The A lens just set the ring to A adjust aperture with the camera .

I know this is a stupid question but did you take the lens cap off? If you try to shoot with the lens cap on , The numbers will flash because it is registering a way underexposure settings everything will be black and when you try to shoot it will be like it isn't because it is doing several second shot trying to get an acceptable exposure. Please don't ask how I know this. :( :)

I have had labs do some messes to my film. one lab scratched a coule of rolls similar to the one you se in your shots here. I have had them stretch the developing and screw it up that way as well. Honestly tho I think your problems here are camera related A good CLA should remedy the issues Your camera can cause the scratch as well as a a lab can and more often than not it is the camera not the lab. The dark areas I have to agree with the others it is the shutter system in the camera. whether it is something you can remedy I am not sure of. That is why I recommend a trip to Eric. He gives free estimates and is highly recommended here
