Verey nice. Is that $0.17 or $0.27 per gallon? I do recall $017 per gallon in the 1950's, "the good old days". TFS Cliff

Thanks for post of complete car. I do believe it has seen better days. The bumpers on many GM cars form the time, pre rubber bumpers, had very similar bumper styles. Chrome bumpers disappeared from American cars in 1973 , so that narrow the vintage a little. Yep rust never sleeps.... TFS Cliff

Nice shot. Many photographic points of interest around Whidbey Island and the surrounding area. TFS Cliff

In 1976 I was fishing along the far shore in this pic, threw out my anchor and watched the anchor rope slip beneath the water as I foolishly forgot to tie it off. I suspect it is still there.

I think you mislabeled this as my first thought was that it looked like a rusty jelly fish, then I read the description, a life sized rhino tail? Hmmmmm.

If you do not want to see da link, then, The last mine closed in 1942, due to War Production Board order L-208, shutting down all nonessential gold mines in the United States during World War II. Mining never resumed after the war.

A link to more info concerning the A-1 Skyraider pictured above. While I was on the USS Intrepid, I probably walked around this particular specimen on while on the flight deck or the hangar deck. Early designation of this beast was EA-5Q later redesiginated EA-1E electronic counter measures (ECM) . The A-1 designation was attack bomber with NO ECM capabilities, guns, bombs and rockets/missiles. If I recall correctly the A-1 affectionately known as " The Spad" could carry its own weight in armaments.

My guess is between '74 - '77 based on no chrome bumpers either end. Probably more exterior difference noticeable by a dedicated corvette nut...... Cliff
