It still has the push pull thing, it's just less likely to break.

I have the older non DI version that I got for $150 and I love it.
From what I've read it may actually be more reliable too, I saw many complaints on the push pull manual/auto selector not working with the DI and none with the older model.

Needed advice for cleaning

The sensor cleaning mode bought me another couple of weeks then the dust stuck on again.

I have a Koh Global Hepa Jet, it filters the air so it can't blow dust back into the camera.
I've cleaned my sensor and mirror twice so far without having to touch it with anything.

K-70 Underexposed Photo Reports

Trouble has seemingly popped up at shot number 7995. :(
I do at least still have extended warranty.
And later if it fails again after warranty when using an aperture ring and green button should work, right?
It's been a while since I learned about aperture block failures back before I bought my camera, So I don't remember it all (should've made notes)

Is there any possibility this is a lens issue?
I was using a SMC A 50mm (I will try my other lenses too)

I went out today to take a photo, and the first photo was significantly underexposed, photos after were fine.
later after it was off for a while; the first photo was also significantly underexposed, then photos after were fine.

How many aperture blades do the sigma 50mm macros have?

Thanks everyone.
I'm sorry I didn't notice it was mentioned on the review pages.
I really did look at them, I did notice it on the Pentax made macros that's got to count for something. :o

I have a SMC Pentax-F 50mm F1.7 with a six bladed aperture and I don't like the hexagon bokeh it makes, so I want to avoid it in a macro too.
After using it for a while I've switched back to my SMC A 50mm 1.4.

How many aperture blades do the Sigma 50mm F2.8 Macro and Sigma 50mm F2.8 EX DG Macro have?
I was looking at the Pentax-A 50mm F2.8 Macro, it has a 6 blade aperture and I'd rather have 8 or more.

Besides having a visual record I can review later, since I'm trying to get a good photo of the subject I spend way more time looking at the subject while composing it than I would normally and I remember it a lot more clearly.

I am a video game player, so I was probably ahead of the curve but it's not that hard to learn.
You may want to get a little cheap one like a Syma X1 to practice flying first.

One step closer to Nineteen Eighty-Four. . . .
I never thought of that, but it makes good sense, I had the same sensor dust specs for months before I blew them off it's definitely something that could be used forensically.

Thanks for bringing up BSI, I saw that mentioned but didn't know it was something that mattered.

For everyone talking about phones, I use a flip phone.

In addition to my K70, I also had a Nikon Coolpix S3600 that I’d carry in my pocket constantly.
It accumulated too much dust inside that showed up in photos.
After a failed attempt at cleaning, I now need a new little camera (Sony, Canon, Nikon).

The smallest cameras are generally low speck and low cost.
Besides mega pixel increase is there any improvement year to year in these cameras or do they just stagnate since they're low end?

Because I can buy one a few models back with the same mega pixels and ISO range for less than a new one.

Having a tilting screen is a must for me, when I do low angle shots on mushrooms/plants.
So I'd go with the KP.

In-Body vs. In-Lens stabilisation - pro's and con's?

What matters to me, is I can't afford lenses with in lens stabilization.
But every lens I use with my Pentax benefits from in body IS.
