I sat some crystals on top of an LED flashlight and shot these using an M120 with a Raynox 150. First, fluorite, second labradorite, and third, sunstone (quartz and rose quartz). Sunstone was with the Raynox 250.

I bought one of these: https://www.amazon.com/Pacific-Image-PrimeFilm-7250uPro3-Windows/dp/B000QW9D...2103337&sr=8-2

The first one was defective... wouldn't scan the bottom 1/4 of the frame so I returned it hassle-free (Amazon) and bought another one that works great. What I like about it is that I can load and scan a whole roll of film at once. I also had a V550 which was OK, except that it only scans 5 frames max at a time, and therefore required constant babysitting.

And here you see the problem with this culture. We found a plant that has good effects. After making it illegal for a hundred years, now it's legal to eat, smoke, or whatever... so Big Pharma is going to screw with it and make pills out of it (that will include other crap you don't want). This is why science doesn't work anymore... too much dependency on money.

pentax k-1 bag and some good ideas

The bag looks great! I think I've found a decent solution for now... Ruggard Triumph 35 Sling Bag PGB-235B B&H Photo Video

I'm troubled to see it's been discontinued. At any rate, I like it due to its size... not too big, not too small. Holds two K-1s with attached lenses, plus the top compartment can hold another one if you have three. I sometimes stick a film SLR in there. One thing I really like about it is the floor of the top compartment can flip up (it's velcro'd on three sides) and I can slam a K-1/M400 in the bag and re-arrange the dividers to fit in there also. It's got side access for use as a sling, and unusually, rear access to the full compartment. I suppose this prevents pickpocketers (pickbaggers?) from getting at your stuff, or from your stuff falling off your back when you forget to zip it. There's also a rainfly. And it's comfy. It's 'just another sling bag,' but the expandable compartment that is roomy enough for camera plus long lens (in my case, M400) sold me on it.

The Noozes look quite cool... I shall have to keep those in mind when I finally admit I need reading glasses.

"The Grid"... taken on film... yes, film.
K2, M50/1.7 plus 1.4x-S (I like the 70mm focal length), Kodak Ektar.
I might have posted this before, but was recently working on it to remove a magenta case with some success.

The product has undergone some refinements that were unexpected, and I think the most current release date is August or Sept of 2018. I'm looking forward to getting one, as it's one piece of equipment that replaces and simplifies the developing process to a considerable extent, in my opinion.

LBA, reasons for collecting

Oh I definitely think those are separate things. The find and the acquisition is separate but just as enjoyable as "photography," which itself in my mind is two separate things... taking images and making images. The taking part is probably what I enjoy most of the three... carrying and using the camera for the tactile and artistic idea in my mind at that moment, whether executed successfully or not. When successful, it's even more pleasurable, but even when the result sucks, I still had fun trying.

Now, back to LBA...

I'm interested in knowing where you draw the line.

I think everyone has their vices... I was talking to a guy last weekend who owns over 40 wristwatches. Brand new ones, not antiques. And he was quite proud to show me his latest acquisition, much as we do here at PF.

It's just part of the human experience. Nothing to justify or explain, really. As long as it doesn't become the latest Dutch Tulip Mania, we'll all be fine.

Which leads me to my next question, Monochrome... whatcha putting on the chopping block? 😁

This is helpful, as I've become more curious about PS lately too. Would you (all) recommend doing initial processing in RT or DCU, then importing a TIF to LR for finishing? I'm trying to imagine a standard workflow for PS files for when my KI-II comes back.

Love your dog! Yes I've noticed green CA here and there, which are sometimes hard to remove. Luckily, those images like this one are usually amenable to B/W conversion if removal proves too difficult or impossible.

When using manual fisheye lenses on your K-1 (or whatever SR-equipped camera you have), what focal length do you plug in? 17mm? Or something wider, since it's a fish?
