What's Your Favorite Camera Bag That Looks Nothing Like a Camera Bag?

I used to have this bag Military Ops Alpha-L DSLR Photo Laptop Backpack - Naneu Camera Bags It will fit what you want to take, including the laptop. I just found it a bit too bulky for my taste, but otherwise it is a nice bag, well made. Well padded. and easy to wear.

If I take the laptop, I now take this bag Escape 2.0 by Clik Elite | A pack to carry a full day's adventure. It doesn't have a laptop compartment, but if you have a sleeve you can put inside the main compartment, there is enough space for it. It might be a bit too big for what gear you want tot take. But it is a very comfy bag.

If I read the statement it basicly says:
new, considerably less expensive products by Chinese manufacturers - they are too expensive
product innovations by competitors - we are an old company, so we do not want to change. People should just buy our products, because we are old.
who are now only willing to invest in new equipment if the investment guarantees additional income - apparently others also want to make money.

You see this now a lot. Old companies that have always done very well with little effort, are now closing because they cannot adapt (and many are in the hand of investors, who want their investment back. And that yesterday rather than tomorrow)

as far as I know, AF is always done with the lens wide open. If it wasn't, from f6.3 most AF systems would just stop working because there is not enough light.

I do not know this film, so I do not know what the latitude is.
But there are films that have a wide latitude, so you can easy under or over expose them (and the develop accordingly). But there are films that have a very narrow latitude, show you have to stick as close as possible to the ISO value.
But also with developing, if the mixture is too concentrated, it will push the film, therefore give more dense negatives.
It might be that this film does not react well to under or over exposing. But it might also be that the film does not react well to the developer that you are using.

And don't worry, if this is your second roll of this film, and it didn't go right. It happens to everybody. You need to get to know the film, the developer, and the way you develop. And it can take some time until you are really satisfied

Fullframe or APS-C for sports or bird photography

I have shot sports with FF (in the film era), and now op APS-C with the K-3. And I really cannot think of a reason why to go back to FF just for the sake of shooting sports. I have all the lenses needed (from 8mm until 400) for the sports I shoot.
Also the faster framerate isn't the holy grail. I have many times my camera set on M instead of H (I think it is 5fps vs 8fps). because the more you shoot, the more you have to go through at home. And that takes a lot of time.

Clik Elite has very good backpacks Backpacks Archives - Adventure Photography Camera Bags by Clik Elite

I think for your needs the luminous or stratus would be a good choice. The countrejour might be too big for your needs.

Also F-stop has very good backpacks, and so does mindshift.
f-stop || Adventure Photography Camera Packs and Bags - +1.253.236.0070
MindShift Gear - Outdoor Camera Bags, Camera Backpacks, Photo Gear

these three brands really gear towards the adventurous photographers. It is just to personal preferences which some one chooses, as they all have their pro's and con's

Roller bag for my kit ?

you could try one of the think tank rollers, they are very good.

I personally have the Lowepro roller 150Lite. And that one is too small for you. so it's successor the streamline 150 will be too small for what you want to bring.

You could try one of the CLik Elite bags

Escape 2.0 by Clik Elite | A pack to carry a full day's adventure.
Pro Express 2.0 by Clik Elite | The ultimate travel photo bag.

The Express does have a laptop storrage place, but I personally use it for the filters.
Both have a good attachment for your tripod. The escape needs a trick for it not to swing-around. But it works perfectly. Both should fit all your gear easy.

A DNG viewer is very handy. I always check my photo's quickly before copying them to the hard drive. Unsharp photo's will be out right away, and bad composition too. Then there is less photo's to be copied. And Irfanview does a good in this.

I use B&W effects and Adjust the most. Both are excellent.
I also have Clarity, Restyle detail and denoise which I do not use that much. But Clarity can give your photo's a bit more pop. And Denoise is excellent if you want to get rid of noise.
Restyle is not my cup of tea. And detail also not really.

It all depends on your budget also. But The Clik Elite bags are excellent.
I have the Escape en Pro express (the old versions). and both will accommodate your gear (and more). They both have their pro's and cons.
You said that you would have the 28-105 mounted. Then I think I would lean more toward the Pro express. Even though the Escape will be quicker access to grab your camera.
Personally I use the Express when photographing events and sports (with longest lens being a 70-200), and the Escape on holidays and surf photography (where I will have longer lenses than the 70-200).

Looking for a hiking bag

yyes gear to a minumum, essentials only. Now we go on a hike for a full day. it is aprox 90F. so you will need 3-4L of water (at a minimum)(which is 3-4kg). You will take dslr and you want to photograph wildlife. There will be a 70-200 in you bag. together 2kg. But to be sure you can get it in case it is far away (it is wildlife, they do what they want) you will also take lets say 150-400 and a 1.4 converter. another 2kg. But since wildlife doesn't always show up, there will be a prime or two (or zoom ) in the bag. well, another 1-2kg. in total you already are at 10kg aprox.
Then there is a tripod, food, maybe some extra clothes. It might be warm now, but in mountainous terrain it might cool off quick.. Oh and you need to eat to. So add another 4 kg for good measure.

Good luck lugging it around on your shoulder.
