Crikey, we are getting more like the USA every day! Don't get me started on newspapers and TV reports now using the term "bathroom" instead of "toilet"!

Eighth grade? Crikey, that's just after starting high school - why would one have a graduation then? Sounds like having graduation from pre-school or kindergarten! (I've heard they do that in America.)

I just remembered my son didn't graduate, he left school after Year 10 to get an apprenticeship with a mechanic. My daughter some years ago graduated as a nurse and a year back as a doctor. I told her I was very proud of her. What more should she want - a trophy for participating? :D

Is he graduating from high school or university?

If high school, is it a big deal? If not, why buy anything?

Crikey, I didn't even buy my kids anything for graduating high school or my daughter for graduating (twice) from university so I wouldn't buy for someone else.

I have suggested to my wife that I should put tubular pipe insulation foam along the edges of the bed but she disagrees. She's so mean! :D

Gus, the guide dog, sleeping again. (Guide dogs sleep in the house). Should I make him a bed that fits him? This one is obviously too small.

Generally speaking, I won't bother with any movie given a good wrap by critics. I prefer movies liked by the public.

I caught Sunset Boulevard on TV just recently. I'm not sure if I liked it or not.

I don't think De Havilland/De Havilland Canada and Grumman had any relationship. DHC was later bought by Boeing then eventually sold off to Bombardier.

I've never seen the movie so I didn't know that line in the Guns N' Roses song Civil War was a sample from the movie.

Where? Where? ;)

Pentax, yes (I have too many), Yamaha, yes (I've had a few - currently have an XJR1300). Toyota, no (I've had two).

Oh, welcome Bruce (I'll take your word for it that his name is Bruce :) )

Use the ink that can be blasted back to oblivion when you regret having it done. Some tattooists won't use it.

Or use ephemeral Ink (fades after a year) - or invisible ink :)

In my late son's effects, there Is a cast resin model of the Mad Max Falcon interceptor. I'm not a collector so I should put it on eVilBay.

Then I probably wouldn't like it. broccoli and brussel sprouts are inedible. I don't know kohlrabi but cabbage is OK as is cauliflower when cooked with white sauce and cheese as my Swiss M-I-L used to make it - but not as my mother used to cook it!
