You got to something pretty interesting = an ambiguous statement about chimps or primates or human relationships with other primates.

Below, two more frost patterns/abstracts from some days back.

The Agifold may be a user, the Kodak probably is not because 120 film is still readily available, re-winds to 620 spools not so much.

The psychology department was close to my department (Physical & Biological Sciences) for many years, and most members of the former were either acquaintances or friends. Truth is, there are many "professionals" in psychology who have "hang-ups." They have one set answer, one truth, which they may have made up before they even started their advanced training. They are "true believers" who reject offhand as false any data contrary to their model of human behavior. Other psychologists, including the one with whom I remain friends, are open-minded to new findings, including those that come from biological studies. The discipline is akin the study of human evolution evolution. There are professionals who as objectively as possible analyze any and all information, and those who have a "pet theory" that is sometimes, to put it politely, totally crackpot. A worthwhile insight into the way some psychologists think is a classic paper titled "The Snark was a Boojum." (sorry if "boojum" is not spelled correctly), which points out how many in the field still think along the lines of "as it is lab rats, so it is in humans."

Even if rust never sleeps it's going to take a very long time to reduce this bolt to crumbly russet scraps.

I was sometimes intrigued by the juxtaposition of ordinary daily life with spectacular scenery in Iceland. Easy to miss the second waterfall far back above the farm buildings.

Thanks for the identification. Did not expect to find out what kind of duck it was. The signage at this zoo was not always as good as I would want. In the open areas, such as the duck pond, there sometimes seemed to be more species in the pen than were identified on the posted signs.

Are you suggesting I'm getting rusty? Not so, I'm just developing a patina, in darkish patches here and there.

Yoruba (people) diviner's necklace. I've been fascinated with how tiny glass beads, introduced by European invaders, quickly became totally incorporated into the artistic traditions of local cultures in both Africa and North America.
