Street Installation - High Street Fremantle - yellow industrial strength textured tape applied to buildings for 21/2 blocks to create a cylindrical effect when seen from this perspective - this was done for a festival but 2 years later no one has come up with a cheap elegant environmentally non destructive to substrate technique for removing the tape from the surfaces.

So some success there for you too - great. I have seen on this forum a hack where pieces of lego were glued on the flash unit so as to create a decent 'catch' for the door - steal some black 'flat' lego from a grand child and you are set.

According to an online article I read a while back it is when the capacitors run down completely that the flash no longer fires - as you have done put some brand new batteries in it and run the test fire cycle a few times and the capacitors may just charge up again. I have had a little bit of success bringing a flash back alive again when it seemed bricked.

Algal blooms, fracking, loss of water due to evaporation in heat waves, all are concerns for riparian systems. Photo was taken at the entry to the port of Fremantle so sea water - which has its own threats.

Regarding the Panagor 28, accepted rule of thumb says that Vivitar lenses with a serial number starting 28******* are made by Komura.

There is an active Vivitar lens thread should you wish to contribute.:-)

I just checked my ME Super and the cover from my K20D fits - tight in the vertical dimension but fits. These covers have a short flange on the LHS and a full length flange on the right so the width is not so important as it is the thickness that hold it in. You can even see the small score mark that the RHS rail is making in the corner of the flange as you put it on and take it off.

I also checked with one of those rubber covers with the little bubble level on the top and it fits as well.

So for cosmetic reasons or to stop the rails snagging the edges of other gear these will fit. Don't know if the ME flash socket is any different to the ME Super.

Well, the bikes turned up yesterday - so spent an hour or so taking them out of the cartons and re-assembling. Purchased from AvantiPlus in Cairns and they did an awesome job getting us fitted up and kitted out, pre-assembled and then partially disassembled for the shipping to us.

First time back on bikes in decades for these two sixty plus year olds so we chose from the 'comfortable' Avanti Discovery series - 2XL for me in blue. No 3 XLs in stock and a bit of a wait for orders and I can manage with wire cables rather than hydraulic for the time being. For Mrs Arjay we got the 3 with low bar in a nice charcoal grey. For those unfamiliar with the range these are relatively inexpensive (Not Cheap though) hard tail hybrid. We will see if we need to upgrade in the future when more miles have been travelled.

Then we were out for an hour or so between the wet season showers and got the tyres dirty. Great fun.

These are cell phone pics. Regarding my second question above I took Matt's advice so to carry the K3 we used the Boxing Day specials to pick up a Kathmandu day bag with a further coupon applied it was down from $189 - to $69 - well pleased - will fit the camera and 100-300 lens and will do hydration packs if needed.
