Finally got around to shooting a few frames with the Vivitar Series 1 70-210 Macro.

I prefer the composition of the shot with the Elmar. I think that helps a lot. It'd be interesting to throw both of them on the tripod back to back to compare exact shots and framing, at least what the lenses and format allow for similarities.

What's your post look like on the color photos? They look good. Almost a Kodak Portra feel.

I bought my daughter an *ist DL for her seventh birthday to start learning photography with a real camera.

A local property owner has a patch of flowers specifically for photography use. Signs are posted to not pick the flowers. Last hour of light, this place gets pretty crowded. Shot an entire roll with a recently acquired K35/3.5 to check out the focal length. Likely going to become my walk-around focal length over the 50 or 55.

Sometimes the kids cooperate. Sometimes they don't. Sometimes, I'm fast enough it doesn't matter. Took the kids to the park for an afternoon after being in Africa for a little while. ZX-30, didn't make note of the lens. Could be 77 or F50/1.7, Tri-X 400 pushed two stops

Kid went from a trike to 16" bike without training wheels in a matter of weeks. Fun part about film is seeing how much transpires between the shutter click and a developed photograph.

Pentax LX, probably K35/3.5, Expired TMAX3200 pulled to 1600. Even though it was stored in the fridge, most of these came out underexposed, even when using a Sekonic meter. Only roll of TMAX 3200 I have or likely ever will, so maybe it was just the film was slower than actually rated on the box.

Yup, she has the "Seriously?" look on her face. Quite energetic pup that enjoys harassing and pestering their other lab, but I think she was less than enthused about me wanting her to sit still for the picture.

Hannah, my parents' lab pup. One of the first frames on my first 120 roll through the 645n. X-posted from the film shots thread.

I got nine rolls back yesterday, four 120 and five 35mm. Rolls covered a recent trip to Morocco with the Marines, stuff around the local area, a family shoot with the in-laws side and a test roll with a recently acquired K35/35.

Here's one of the first frames from my 645n with the 150/3.5. My parents' lab pup, Hannah. I absolutely love the silky smooth look of the out of focus areas on the 120. Really looking forward to trying something like Ektar and Velvia 50. I have more Portra and Tri-X 400 to put through it.

Never shot a 6x7 camera...Maybe the 645n and A35 or KX and either 28/3.5 or 35/3.5. KX will likely outlive my LX.

Dude, your ability to find old/classic/muscle cars and trucks floors me. And you photograph elements of them beautifully. Got an email today that the lab received my four 120 and five 35mm rolls. Looking forward to the results of my first medium format work.

Not camera related, but may lead to some photographic trips/opportunities - a basically unused Specialized Rockhopper Sport 29er mountain bike. Got out for a ride today for a little over an hour and was humbled/reminded that I haven't really ridden a bike since middle school or so and even then, it was street BMX. I expect to feel it more tomorrow.

That's incredible! Just worked out the math on shooting that on a 64 speed film, about 24 1/2 minutes. Crazy.

I'm sure they did the best they could with the film I sent. Being as old it was, I severely underexposed it by shoot it at box speed. The scan resolution was lower than I prefer, but nothing from my roll is going to get blown up.

I'd just google the process your rolls need. Maybe there are others. I wasn't really worried about it with only one roll. I wouldn't mind shooting another roll and metering it properly for its age, but then again, it's considerably more expensive than shooting film I already know I like.
