Dude! I have been all over my new camera in the last year. Bought the E book. Drank the Kool-Aid... I did not know there is a face capture mode for the camera. It's not where I would think to look in the menu but sure as hell I put the k-1 in live view and hit the AF button.... hush my puppies. : ) Thank you for pointing this out. Using my iPhone as a remote trigger is sub optimal as it is hard to hide and not look at when fireing.

First shots with the K1 mII and the 77mm I'd just gotten in the mail. Here I'm testing why the heck I would need wifi in my camera. So...this is why! I always had a bit of trouble with focus using a remote trigger but not anymore.

Nature Leaf's Last Fall

Thank you, I get to go back this afternoon and do a shoot with my niece and her son. As always I hope it all comes together!

Thank you, I just read a really ridiculous article about staging a shot in nature. The photographer put a leaf on a round spot of color on a rock and a big ruckus arose about how the photo was fake since it didn't happen naturally. Since I am not a photojournalist I feel free to move the leaf around as much as it takes to make me happy. And this particular arrangement did make me happy!

There is a spot a mile from my home that is tree filled and bordered by the Boise River. It is family photo, senior pic's, wedding and general nature central. When ever I go out to see what I might catch I usually wander around the river if only to gather in a little peaceful easy feeling.
I found this really colorful leaf so I moved it around the light till I got this. Smiley face emoji.....

A sailboat sits out in the harbor. The Captain and crew enjoy a margarita as the sun sets slowly behind the Costa Rican horizon. These are the days that get you out of bed....

This kid did a full backflip with a half twist starting from the branch on the left side of the frame. I caught 5 shots on the way down but I like this one best as it looks like he just dropped out of an airplane....

Thanks! I've tried to go shoot the Classic again but after getting up way too early and driving across the valley to the site I found it to be canceled due to too much wind. Maybe next year....

Sunset along the north fork of the Boise River. Used a Nisi 6 stop nd filter and damn near fell into the river when I dropped the 82mm filter adapter ring as I tried to screw it on to the lens....this photography thing is dangerous, be careful out there.

Nope, the joke was part of it but the rear stone was more interesting to me.

Interesting idea but I haven't got the mark ll and the 77mm and the 24-70 paid for yet... : ) Hey while I have you on the line, I understand that you can get a one year upgrade by buying the new k-1 at B&H. What does the forum need from me to make this happen? From B&H I bought the Mark ll, the 77mm 1.8 limited, and the 24-70mm 2.8 all this month. I retired and all this was my graduation present to myself.
