The reason for the typos is simple:
everyone and their mother is working on the new APS camera, so that leaves only the kids do do the proof reading.
Simple.

Can't Pentax make a good cheap zoom?

Cheap is relative. But I get your point.
I think the age of good and cheap is gone, with the current move towards fast lenses, like the DA* 11-18 f2.8.
Unless they revive the Ltd series (not cheap, but nothing like my example, and good value), or just realise that some (lots of) people don't need f1.4, you (and me) are s..t out of luck.
I'd like something better than my Sigma 10-20, but not at 3x the price, partly because of an aperture I don't need. If Pentax made a slower 11-18, which would(?) put it at 2x the Sigma$, I'd get it.
Don't know if it's in your FL range, but I like the 16-85 a lot.

What are your thoughts on developing high quality (150-450 or better), but slow(er) lenses?

I don't mind the bulk, but paying 1399 USD/GPB/EUR just to have f2.8 in a 11-18, no thank you. Buildings and trees don't move fast enough to make it worth my money.
Keep it big if necessary, but bring the price down with the aperture, please.

Don't. You know what they say: it ain't the size [of ISO range] that matters, it's what you do with it :)

There's a narrow range where I find stupidity to be funny.
Everything in that story, except the above quote which is actually not stupid, is way beyond that limit, so I cannot laugh with the rest of you, just roll my eyes all the way to the back of my head.

P.S.: Don't you (also) have to know your tools to be considered an artist? Isn't that what makes a difference between being just curious (maybe even talented) or being an artist?

No offence taken.
But SLI wasn't part of the equation. Yes, I can do calculations, or use a website for PSU calculations ;) , and they give [the SLI] around 900W power draw (but their recommended PSU is strangely only 1kW). 1.3kW not a waste then.
But without SLI 750W is fine.
Anyway, it's just friendly advice, you know what you want to do with your computer.

Just don't forget to replace those SATA SSDs with PCIe ones if you're doing video editing, or you'll be doing lots of crosswords while your GPUs wait for them.

Yes, you do get 100% output from PSU.
If you're thinking about the rated efficiency, an efficiency of 80% means that a (1000W for example) PSU will be consuming around [1000/.7=] 1400W at full load (they don't have max efficiency at full load), and around [900/.8=] 1125W at 90% (900W) load.
But what you should look at is really the rated power. Don't be fooled into buying a 750W (600/.8) Bronze 80% PSU if you decide you need 600W (400 + smart over-provisioning).
That said, nothing wrong whatsoever with buying a 750W PSU when your estimated power draw is around 400W (your example above). That'll keep it running cool and extend longevity.
But 3 times the estimated power draw is unnecessary, and won't give you more reliability.

P.S.:Higher efficiency rating is good for your pocket, and maybe as an indication of component quality, but you can also find some forums with advice on best/worst brands (no comment on your choice of brand, only the power)

Yes, I was talking about K5 (also valid for K5iis).
And the 1500 is VERY conservative, and I don't have the LCD off, I just have the auto-power off at 1 minute. No flash. Reasonable percentage at 800+ ISO, and that is noticeable in battery life.
I do some reviewing/deleting every now and then.
I have 3 Li90 [for K5 and K5iis], 2 are from when the K5 came out. Don't know how many years that is, but both cameras are way over the rated shutter life, so they've seen more than a few full cycles (I try to avoid that now as I notice a performance drop coinciding with the first drop in the battery meter, and it's not good for the battery).
At the end of the day I'd have 1 empty battery, move the half used from primary to secondary camera, and also charge the one in the secondary (was at 1/2). This was for 3000+.
I you're getting the CIPA or less, and not being heavy on flash, I'd say you have a problem.
Or a very demanding use of battery :)

I know about Bitlocker, and I considered that in my reply.
There are free ways to do it, so it's good for people that need everything encrypted, like companies. But if you think you really need it, it is an easy and secure alternative.

Actually, the PSU is way overbuilt, that configuration won't get close to 50% power usage, the RAM is much faster than the CPU can use effectively, and the cooler is overkill. That is, unless you're planning on extreme overclocking, then they do make sense.
If this is for video editing, you'd be much better off having a PSU at 650/750W, dropping the RAM to 3000/3200, using the stock cooler, and using the savings to get PCIe secondary drives, instead of SATA.
That will make a real difference when editing video (if that's what you're doing), the measly gains from the RAM and the cooler not really.

600 for K5 is "a bit" low. I get over 1500 pulling a 150-450 in AFC, with some reviewing in the middle. Original battery.
6 Nimh batteries (2700mAh) should give much more power than the Pentax battery (the D-Li90 is 1860mAh).

Quick rundown:
CPU - Intel i7 or above; or AMD Ryzen 7 2700X will give you best performance up to $400. If you don't mind spending twice that, you have AMD Threadripper, which blows anything at that price for video editing.
Storage - SSD is essential. 500GB for OS and programs, plus a 1TB or more for video editing. When choosing a M2 drive, check the manufacturer website to make sure the interface says PCIe / NVMe (Samsung 970 Evo are fast), and be prepared to spend a lot (video editing oblige, normal use would be standard 2.5"). Add HDDs for backup as needed (don't buy portable above 2GB). You can buy normal 3.5" drives and use a USB2SATA adapter for the backups. HGST are kings of reliability
RAM - 32GB for video editing, 3000MHz recommended.
Monitor - IPS 32" 4k (Benq PD3200U is currently at a good price)
Video card - you don't need anything above $300, but 4GB minimum
A good PSU with at least 600W
Windows 10 home (Windows 7 will lose support eventually, and Pro is only good for companies)

My K5 + 150-450 gets about 1500-2000 shots per full battery charge, so it's 1 battery change I do. I now change it when it drops a notch because performance goes down after that.
So the KP would require something like 3-4 batteries (inc the one in camera). That's 3 batteries more that I'd have to buy, at the usual "friendly" manufacturer prices.

Good camera it may be, but the above plus the laughable buffer mean it's certainly not on K5/K3 level.

P.S. rant: And the K1 needs to clear the buffer a lot faster to be a flagship (but it's still a temptress)

K3 already had "better shutter and mirror assembly, better buffer, revised grip and bigger battery" :)
Even the K5 fits that bill.
The KP is a small[er than K3] camera that takes (very?) good pictures, but it's not really meant for people who want something to handle big lenses, take many pictures without carrying a ton of batteries, and shoot like Rambo.
if you add a grip and batteries, the price comes dangerously close to a K1, and then it only wins in lens size, maybe lens price if you consider the not recently released lenses.

---------- Post added 10-30-18 at 01:48 PM ----------

Why do you think that would be stupid?
Everybody's eyes are glazed at mirrorless news, and Pentax has a very small share of the market. Even the competition wouldn't care, except maybe to get some ideas after it came out.

One aspect where Pentax has been going away from "doing things differently", and instead joining the pack, is in lenses.
Most (all?) of the latest releases are fast and huge, not slow and small like the Ltds.
If they did release a 2xMP FF, it'd have stellar high ISO capabilities, and it'd be the perfect timing to release refreshed Ltds, with quality matching up to the best available, but small. Add to that the increased frame rate and other benefits from lower res/new camera, and they'd have something special (and different) to throw at the mirrorless size advantage.
Alas, we all know they don't have the capabilities to do that.

Don't really care about the refresh cycles, as I already buy only every other cycle (K10,K5,Kwhatever), but no APS flagship would be a bit of a nuisance.

Wouldn't that be akin to ditching their 645 user base?
They'd then have to convince people to switch from brands that are investing heavily into MF, by investing heavily both in camera and lenses for the new mount.
They don't invest in refreshing their APS lenses, or even release a UWA FF prime, so I don't see them doing that, except as a camera with a new mount, an adapter for the old mount, and the promise of new lenses further down the line. Far stretch...

1-What YEAR do they expect to release a K3 successor?
2-Any plans on prosumer (high IQ, but slower/smaller/slightly cheaper,WR), modern versions of lenses like the 15ltd? (If I can wait years for a K3iii, I can wait fractions of second to lessen the load in my wallet and bag)
3-Same question for FF
4-Is the DA* 11-18 still planned for 2019?

It looks like most people are bipolar nowadays, everything gets taken to extremes, or as gospel, no space for literary liberty.
Don't they teach these things at school anymore?!
Maybe you should expect a visit from the police for making a death threat?
