Some really nice pictures, was a touch choice. On #13, what lens produced such wonderful star busts?

Nice composition. Have you tried conversion to B&W (I think the contrasts would stand out just a touch nicer)?

All very nice. I would love to know more about the exposure on #1, and what lens produced such a wonderful star effect of the sun?

On your managing multiple versions, did you check to see if the previous version was sharing the same catalog DB? I think you can check the preferences of LR and see what it's using. It might be possible during the update to 6 that you can import and preserve previous version catalogs.

(I did do an upgrade last year from 5 to ver 6 and once that upgrade was behind me I haven't had an issue - catalog mgt is the most important aspect of LR I think as that's how it does in non-destructive edit management).

These look ok to me as well, both lighting and the snow contribute to the grey look. In general rule of thumb, back in the old days (film), I'd use 2 stops correction. I would have at least tried 1 to 2 stops exposure compensation as well today. I'd also do a sequence of exposure shots just to get an idea of how sensitive the sensor is. But I think all of it is also easily handled post processing (did you save RAW files, or only JPG)?

I recently did capture a few pictures in the snow, but it was at night so the lighting is totally different...

You're welcome. Might be a good project to turn into a photo studio? We stayed in an historic church built right after the US Civil War down in Indiana near Bloomington. The area that supported it had basically been drowned by the building of a dam, and instead of decaying, it was saved, turned into a photo studio and then we used it as an Air Bn'b. Looks like a piece of history is about to be lost.

the contrasts of the building detail really help seem to snap the outline of building out. If not for that, it would be so flat that it would be hard to distinguish. Color scheme seems to be a little on the warm side, but that seems to give it a nostalgic/antique almost sepia tone feeling to the image. Nice

like the way that the bands of color fall; almost like a rainbow, from the warmer top to the cooler bottom by the sea. Did you enhance those bands of color post processing?

nice. like the fact that the tree trunks have that "leading" to the center look, and the base of the trees have a vignetting effect playing with the light, reinforcing the "focus" of the trees.

Probably the best color of all submissions. Saturated, but between the colors and shapes, it keeps the eyes moving/studying the image. Nice

I like this because it is taking a the subject and making it a little bit of an abstract approach with a nice contrast in lines and patterns.
