#14 has that feeling of immensity and being small in a world larger and more treathening than you can imagine. It got my vote... I think, because it said "you already voted", even if I did not.

Sculpture of a family (a coal minor, his wife and children) from Marcel Rau (ca. 1930), located on the rooftop of the Town Hall in the city of Charleroi, Belgium, also called "the Black Country" (le Pays Noir), due to its huge industrial past in coal and metallurgy.

Hi,

I'm noticing something wierd, the EU website of Ricoh offers update 1.01 (that I did when I bought my K50), but the US website is at 1.02.

Any idea what's the deal with that?

The trolls are ugly, the background is completely uninterresting and it barely is a celebration to me, yet... this appeals to me, for a reason. And the colors/lights are amazing ! Nominated :)

I would also recommend it. At that price range, it is a steal (compare it to the 1200D... you'll quickly get it^^)

I bought my K50 with that lens in the kit, and I can also attest it's pretty good. Solid and weather sealed, it produces good sharp images. The colors are also well rendered. As stated above, it doesn't compete with a prime, but it's not its job: at 18mm you get really wide angle and at 135mm the quality doesn't suffer. The bokeh is "good enough", nowhere near the Pentax-A 50mm 1.7, but really good enough for quality pictures. The autofocus is surprisingly quiet compared to the 18-55 equivalent, and it's fast in good lighting, and it even works in severely low light.
