If the JPEG engine has been improved to compete with Fujifilm's X series MILCs, then it might be worth it....

Guys, I am thinking of getting a XE2S to use with my Voigt lenses (PKA). How many inches does a PK to Fuji X adpater add on to the lens? Know of a brand that ensures 1:1 magnification? Thanks!

These B+W shots came out very well when I had them printed. They were originally shot using ACROS100, then I digitized them using my K5+Voigt 90/3.5 with close-up lens. Post-processing and Printing was done by a professional using a high-end commercial ink-jet printer (can't remember the brand), but the 8 x 12" prints were excellent.

Is the Sigma 17-50 2.8 a better lens than the 20-40 Limited?

Just got one. I am satisfied with it. IMHO, in terms of sharpness and color rendition, it provides much better value than the 20-40ltd., considering you can get one new for $375-400. But it is bigger and heavier than the 20-40ltd. So if you want a smaller and lighter system, then it is not the way to go. I too was choosing between a used 20-40ltd. and a new Sig17-50/2.8. After checking out (pixel peeping) the photos of some sellers of the 20-40ltd., I came to the conclusion that it would be too big a risk for me to pay $500+ for a used lens that doesn't satisfy my standard. So, I went for a new Sigma. Sigma has improved tremendously through the years in glass. I have owned several Sigmas in the past, and the color rendition of the 17-50/2.8 is much more the color I prefer than before. More Pentaxish and Voigtlanderish.

Used to send it to Wells. But ever since this stupid MRT became unusable, I now send it to Columbia in Cubao. Their developing is acceptable considering their price :)

A humble tip to newbie photographers here - don't go chasing after the best equipment. Photography is about creativity and inspiration, and how best a photographer can connect with others through his/her photographic creations. It is true that you need the "photogapher's eye" to stand out, together with the skill set to understand lighting and exposure, but all these can be improved through practice and experience, not with spending all your time and cash on acquiring the best equipment available. In fact, having the best equipment may sometimes prove to be a drawback, as one gets frustrated and disillusioned more rapidly when, after investing heavily in the best equipment available, he/she may still not be able to get the results he/she seeks. But if you decide to be content with the equipment you have, and spend your time in refining and improving your craft, you will feel a much better sense of satisfaction and accomplishment, with your results.
