:)

Well finally the date has been released and venue.

For the past while all Summits have been in Japan due to the Pandemic but now that travel is becoming normal again, next one is in NYC.

From memory I think its first one in USA(???).I dont recall all though so may be mistaken.

Time is 6pm in NYC but in the centre of the universe its 4am(9th) EastCoast Orstraaalia.About the time I wake up which is better than staying up till midnight and watching for another 90-120 mins.

It'll be launch time for new products, one of which is the X-H2 the 40mp 8K body which is same shape/EVF./card set up/screen/PASM dial ect as the highly acclaimed flagship X-H2s.Its a BSI non stacked sensors slower readout and price is rumoured to be U$1999.

There will be other products but no leaks I know at this stage.

I think Kobie did some youTube stuff on that combo, you might want to consult him about his experiences.

I was confused at what you meant, anyway,I'll second getting the Tamron. It does a good job.

One thing to be careful of though is it doesn't work adapted to some of the newer M/L(its fine for any of the Dslrs).I'm led to believe it needs a firmware update that cant happen with the Tamron dock which is fine with GEN 2 Tamron. So it needs to go to a Tamron service centre.

So, how about posting some images from both cameras you are comparing here.We are into 5 pages plus the rogue one!

What do you mean by chittering?

Ive pointed mine at the water many times and no back chattering! It just hangs there and does the job.

Not fully matured??? I'm not sure what you mean by that.M/L is highly advanced, so far ahead of Dslr its not funny. As for lens selection Fuji has plenty,M43 has double what Fuji has.Sony has plenty and the Z and RF mounts are both approaching 30.Throw in third parties and the numerous adapters and M/L has what Dslr has via adapter plus OEM.

I have the 150-600 Sport, the guy I bought it from sold it to me after buying the 60-600.the newer Sigma is better but costs double or more.

I own one Canon amongst my camera collection but intend to buy the R10 later this year(after selling some gear).I like what the Canon does for the price.

The R7 has been available for a couple of months but sells out quickly. The lenses you mention will all adapt onto M/L and I think I mentioned the Tamron 18-400mm which gives FOV of 640mm.Also Canon have the RF 100-400 lightweight F5.6-8 which is getting high recommendations from owners.ITS the lightest and cheapest 100-400 with the DigicX AF !Even on a R10 its more than double the speed of Pentax/nikon discussed here.

Ha ha, but still its good to be on a different track in some things.I'll look forward to your comparisons.

Go over to DPreview, Canon R section and read the thread on R7 versus D500.Concensus of opinion there is the R7 leaves the D500 in the dust.

Yes, you get what you pay for.Ricoh added 500 U$ to the latest K3 for the privilege of having an OVF at FF standard. The most recent Fuji has an EVF at the same level as the Canon R5/R3 and high end Sonys.TheFuji is the highest priced Japanese crop camera at present.

I think the first version is a great little cameras the makeover has to be marginally better.

XS10 is my favourite though.

Its whatever works,When I got the T30 I didn't hardly touch the E3...Ive a cull to do soon(this year) and its going.

Hopefully, the September summit brings plenty of information about whats coming. The specific leaks won't be long I hope.

The first 4 generations of Fujis all have their merits, but its the upcoming stuff that will place them firmly in the "I WANT' category for a lot of people. Its just the cost has to be justified.

WHO quoted that?...Both the Australian and Asian websites say the T30 ll supports UHS1 only...so please dont believe these people.UHS2 works but doesn't use the 2nd row of contacts.

---------- Post added 07-28-22 at 11:50 AM ----------

This is the same Chris and Jordan who get drunk and say the Pentax KP is 2nd worst camera of 2017,theres some wind around these two at times!

---------- Post added 07-28-22 at 12:09 PM ----------

I have version one of T30,so I cant compare.

The 2 Fuji bodies you own are different to the 11 fuji bodies that I own.

As far as owning and using the S10,ive hardly touched my T30 since S10 arrived.Ive thought about selling it and I'll pick it up and take a few shots and think that its too good a camera to sell at this point in time.

Fuji produced the T30mk2 in response two the Nikon NFC release, even though the T30(1) was still a technically superior camera.Fuji said there were 87 upgrades, most were extremely minor. The only one that appealed to me was the lifting of the 10 minute limit of video recording to 30ish.The S10 was already out and had that limit but had IBIS,that from my observations works great.

I did see some reviewers,The London Based guy in particular, have this experience with the PRE release firmware.

Is it an issue after release?...I'm sure that the Brighton based reviewer said that the release firmware fixed the issue.

YOU, go to the Fuji Austraaaalia website and look at the specks.Dont believe these guys that are quite entertaining(ive watched thenm from a long while ago when they first started with TCS).They are in the Infotainment industry and sometimes they get their facts wrong.Do you want to believe them OR the people who develop and make the cameras?

---------- Post added 07-28-22 at 09:58 AM ----------

Once again, I'll believe the people who make the cameras.I dont own a T4,i didn't see any reason to get one over my T3:)

I'll look forward to the T30ll review.

1/ My S10 was A$ 1310 a few months after release and my T30 was A$ 1250(in 2019),hence my " nearly the same price".All these prices come down to where you look and if Fuji are in their discount period of "cashBacks"
2/Yes,but ive added a textured cover to the S10 which changes the feel completely. My favourite Fuji.
3/Yes,Since Ive had the S10 the T30 has the 27mm on permanently and takes up almost zero space.
4/ Do your homework, they are exactly the same.
5/ T4 has 6.5 and S10 6..."someone" whoever that is values point 5 pretty highly.Just recently a new gimbal was reviewed,looks great.Phone/action cams/small mirrorless.

Next year you will probably get a much better price, due to the fact that the new seń$or(S)/processors will be available.Maybe for the 850Euro a superior body?kit lens can get your attention.

What they actually announced was that their RandD is concentrated on the new mounts(both 4 years next month and both progressing well).

In Canons case ,they have announced the flagship 1DX series is their last(R1 rumoured for Q4 this year btw). They said if the demand for Dslrs exists, then they will continue to supply. With around 75% of total Dslr sales I dont think they will abandon that profit.

And thats why Dslr will always have a presence in the market, a certain % of people like them or cant use EVFs.

Tell me next weeks Lottery numbers please?,seeing you two can make these calls.

Just because a company introduces new product lines, doesnt mean existing lines end.

Certainly the emphasis is on developing the newer systems but Canon for one have Dslr products "GOING GANGBUSTERS" according to RudiWinston the Canon USA spokesperson who intros new product.

In the reducing market, all the companies have to be very careful how they run their businesses.CoVid and THE WAR have complicated matters unfortunately.

Dslrs will remain until demand disappears.

Its a great "little" cameras good way to get into Fuji IF ya want the traditional dial/controls.The alternative for nearly the same price though is the X-S10 which is like a minature Dslr but smaller, lighter and its got all the Fuji innards.Very easy for a PASM user to try Fuji.IBIS too.

Yes, the T4 is a considerable outlay. However, its not expensive to buy into the early Fuji bodies and lenses if you want to have a try of the system.

Eddy uses up to date stuff due to having to earn money. If you are just a hobbyist(like most people)just a few hundred can help you have plenty of fun.

ONE has stopped production quite a while ago but M accounts to 30% of Canons revenue and they won't be shutting that down(or their Dslrs). They regard M as the lightweight entry level system.Interestingly too, they are porting over around half a dozen M lenses to RFs.They have already done one, the 18-150mm.

Well, how about the Digic 8 ???How about FV mode?

Neither did, M and One series dont have IBIS.

When Nikon entered FF mirrorless they went with IBIS in 2018 but Canon came in with their first 2 bodies(R and RP) without IBIS.Canons first IBIS was R5/6 in 2020.

Perhaps later,Nikon are still milking what they can and while they can, they will.

Perhaps much later,In a recent interview, the Canon USA spokesperson who introduces the new products said"some of the Dslr lines are going GANG BUSTERS".

Neither company will cease producing until the figures make them.

And what a great idea, that company seems to innovate and duly reap rewards.

They will also sell you cameras of "PROper" capability for not much more than a standard stills body.

The R5 is the standard high end body for stills with a few video features added on.Earlier this year The R5 Cinema model was released for just a few hundred dollars more. Its basically the still camera on one menu and a Cinema camera on the other. It deletes the IBIS but adds the cooling needed for the high data flow.

You made the right move for what your needs are now. Also, you can expect a lot faster development of the system than with snail paced Ricoh.

Fuji are motoring along at a reasonable pace,September Summit and next years releases will be most interesting.

Without a need for your Pentax gear,K-1 and grip with 28-105 would be around half to 60% of retail, depending on accutations.Ebay usually has quite a few K-1s from Japan so look at those prices to get an idea. The primes are worth what people will pay,70-80% of RRP.

Good luck selling,Pentax is not a popular brand so take what you can get.
