I absolutely do not want it fixed, and I have no interest in selling it. I really would like to find another, actually.

It is a variable amount of "glitchiness" that seems to be caused by the level of contrast in a scene. Another example:

Wondering if anyone else's original GR1d (or other GR model) is glitching like this? This occurs primarily in high contrast situation, irrespective of any other settings. If your GR is doing this, please send me a PM.

Nature A Peaceful Waterfall

Two shots from the BRMC - one of my favorite local hiking spots. This miniature waterfall is a very popular area in the spring/summer, however when the snow is falling, no one's around!

The first image is my attempt at using Multi-Exposure Mode. I chose the "composite" option to achieve the blurred water look.

Looking for any C&C in regards to capture or processing. Thanks for looking!

Great C&C, thank you for the input. I may be heading back to the area today to reshoot - with some snow on the ground it could add another element to the image.

Looking for a cheap & decent point & shoot with a lens starting at f1.8.

If you're shooting a lot in low light, I'd probably pick up something like the Ricoh WG-4. The f/2 aperture and built in shake reduction will really give you an edge in low light. Not to mention, it is weatherproof.

Or maybe an MX-1?

ETA: Try using dpreview's "camera feature search". It will find cameras for you given a certain set of conditions that you input.

I actually prefer the color image as the foreground is not distracting. Great capture!

Thanks for the feedback. I shot quite a few angles, here's another - no OOF foreground.

The grave of William Anderson (1802 - 1857). Slowly being swallowed up by an enormous tulip poplar that began growing about 110 years ago.

Looking for any C&C as to how I could've captured or processed this more effectively.

This looks way underexposed...or is it just my monitor?

Cool capture though. Wish it was warm enough here for some ocean action!

Do you regularly shoot video? If you do, shouldn't you know if 25fps will be restricting?

It's like asking "will this kit lens' f/3.5 aperture be an inconvenience?" Only you can really answer the question, based on your experience, planned use, and expected needs.

This is an HDR/ETTR candidate I think. The sky is already blown so it's hard to expose for snow...so the snow ended up blue and underexposed.

Is this cropped?

What "issues" are you referring to with the K-3?

I previously shot with a 7D and OMD-EM5 and greatly prefer the K-3. I have had no issues with it.

Anyone Need the Sigma Lens Dock?

I picked up the Sigma USB Dock in order to correct some minor AF inconsistencies that I was having with my 18-35 f/1.8 - now that I'm good to go, I figured I'd offer the dock up for use by forum members that didn't want to purchase the thing.

So, if anyone would like to use it, please shoot me a PM!

I learned to dev properly with stainless reels, and have never lost frames to improper loading. The method I use is to pull the film out of the canister, fold the leading edge back against itself to ensure a perfectly straight and perpendicular line, cut along that line, and load from there.

Dedicated Prime Shooters

I shot primes from 2006 (when I started taking pictures) until this year - the Sigma 18-35 turned me to the dark side. IQ is just so incredibly good plus it's fast enough to replace a few primes in my bag.

Only problem I've had is that it's relatively large and heavy.

I 100% disagree with your sentiments about stainless systems. Paterson plastic systems tend to bind and are NOT reliable. OP should buy a good stainless reel (such as Hewes) and learn to load the right way.

Pentax DA50mm 1.8

Hey Freddy!

I received the 50/1.8 in a recently purchased K-3 package from Adorama. I was fully prepared to list the lens as soon as I received it and put the money towards the DA* 55/1.4, but I was so blown away by the picture quality that I'll probably keep it forever!

Some will dig on it for the somewhat loud screwdrive AF, but it hasn't bothered me.
