At the end of next month I will be photographing a 3 day outdoor concert. I have read numerous threads and blogs on good setups and think I may have what I need? I have 3 different bodies to use and plan on taking 2 with me. I have the K20D, KX, & K7. The lenses I have that I believe are suitable to use are the following, Sigma 8-16mm f4.5-5.6, Sigma 20-40mm f2.8, Sigma 105mm f2.8, Pentax FA50mm f1.4, M50mm f1.4, M50mm f1.7. I will be thinning this list down as I know I will not need them all. i do have full access so I will be able to get up close to the stage and all. I am reviewing this now so if I decide I need an additional lens I will have time to order it. Is there anything I don't have covered, as maybe an additional lens that might bee good for my situation?

I just bought the same trigger to use with my K7 & K20D. I have not had a chance to test it yet as we have not had any storms for a while. But thefew tests I have done with a light looks like it should work OK.

I agree with many of the posts here. Each event will require it's own "Media Pass". I did some photography at a large base jumping event last month "Bridge Day" here in WV. The application had to be approved by the committee in charge of the event and was issued by them. No other passes were allowed thru the security area without one of these. I know of other photographer friends of mine obtaining passes for each event. Now a membership in the IPA may make obtaining an event pass less difficult, but I have no experience with that?

I too use a pair of winter golf gloves. I am like you and live in a very small town. I found these gloves at a large sporting goods store a couple of hours away. They are thin yet windproof and fairly warm. I have also used the batting gloves, but they are not as warm as the winter golf ones. Another thing to think about is keeping your body core warm. I wear an insulated vest when shooting in cold weather. As the body core gets cooler, it does not pump as much blood to the extremities, therefore the feet and hands will get cold quicker. I have learned that this method will help a lot and you won't need as heavy a pair of gloves to keep your hands warm.The winter golf gloves I have were about $25 for the pair?

I have the 3n1-30. I think it is very nice. I used it last year in Alaska. I was able to carry 2 bodies with lenses, extra lenses, batteries, etc. I used it as my carry on also on the flights. It was very comfortable and the others are correct, the yellow interior is very handy!

We had a wave of storms come thru the area last night and I was able to capture a lot of strikes. This was the best and I believe the bet I have taken so far!
