Irix 15mm frustration

Hi all,

I got the new copy of IRIX 15mm and maybe it's a little bit better, but still decentered.

Maybe the only difference is that the infinity is correctly set, so at infinity it's seems to be ok.

I can't always see the problem, only on dark photos, and if I focus on something in the foreground at 3 meters, sometimes the right side of the background is blurry, and the left side is still sharp.

At f4.5 it is razor sharp anyway, so I think I won't return it again, but I'll have to use a tripod for low light photos.

It's also usable for night photography handheld at 2.4 but I have to be avare of this blurryness.

Hi,

Last time i didn't notice that my attachments got resized, so here are the new samples.

I love this lens, but this blurriness is very disappointing.
I've bought it at a local camera store so I have warrantee. I'm going to return it, and hopefully they will replace it.
I liked IRIX much better than the SAMYANG 14mm, so i hope to get a working copy of this lens.

Hi,

My IRIX 15mm firefly copy is also misaligned. I posted some real life examples about the effect.
It was shot on a k-x (12MP aps-c) but the blurry area is still visible in the corner.
(right bottom corner on the railway station sample and on top of the tree sample)

I saw this when aperture was between 2.4 and 3.2, probably it can be eliminated by stopping down to 4.5
