Halloo Jean.
The lens has arrived and is rather lovely.
I think it is another Tomioka design and maybe made by them - who knows.
Here is a sample:

Thank you for the kind words.
Haha - not the biggest to be sure.
I also have a Mamiya-Sekor 4.5/250 which is a beast by comparison.

Thanks everyone for the kind words.
Here is a shot from today.
Taken on Old S1 Vivitar 24-70 and K-10D of course.
The image looks like it has been sharpened but no, it is only the crazed bokeh of this lens.

It has been so long since my wife's garden has had enough water for flowers.
These are a little mundane, but are a real joy just out of our kitchen window.

I'm sure it will render beautifully.
I have a yen for 200mm lenses and have a couple. They are pretty much orphans in the marketplace as it is not a popular focal length.
I am awaiting a Takumar preset 200mm f3.5, and am greatly anticipating its rendering as well.
All lenses have a sweet spot in their performance and it is up to us, as photographers, to discover it.
I love the Meyer in soft light - other lenses give their best with out of focus highlights.............. and so on ..............
One could spend one's life finding the beauty in lenses, and it would not be a wasted life ........

ISO is the Achilles heel of the K-10D.
Up to 400 it is OK, but from then on NOISE is very troublesome.
So we shoot within its limitations and enjoy the experience. If we want ISO 3200, and higher, we use another platform or reach for a very fast lens on the K-10D

Best thing I have done in a long time.
Here with a Sears 50mm f2 lens:

Go ahead and buy the D7100.
It is a good camera and it seems to have features that you like.
It doesn't matter what the instrument is - it is the music that counts.
Seems to me its time to get on with making some more music.
BTW, I have a D300 and a K-10D, and I like both of them. I love the K-10D for its simplicity and ease of use - notwithstanding its shortcomings.
Happy snaps amigo

Something a little less industrial - a spider orchid, I think, found in the littoral rainforest around here.
Taken with an old Soligor 2.8/35 preset lens and K-10D.

K-10D often handles high ISO badly.
Last night it did OK.
ISO 1600 (maxed out) with monopod support.
The lens was an old Tamron SP23A 60-300mm and I was shooting wide open because the light was so bad.
