Uncle & I have nx300 and both gx bodies in common. My em bodies were 5/10/10ii plus pen ep5, pm2 and pl5.

My first digital was a kodak dc260 and ls443, lumix dc40 and casio p505. First dSLR was a sony a200 before returning to pentax like my film days.

Rikenon 35-70mm Macro 1:3.4-4.5

Rikenon-P is not a Pentax-A equivalent. I learned that after buying several, they only shoot wide open in auto modes. They also have the pin that can get stuck in the AF screw slot. Many have great optics, I miss my P 28/2.8 lens. I still have the XR 70-150mm but XR lenses have no pin as far as i know.

Hybrid? Why not removable? :p the LX could swap in a waist-level finder, maybe the new pk/M (100 Roman) could pull out prism and mirror for an EVF module..

PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing

Item for Sale
silver K-5 w/silver Sigma lenses, 18-50re, DAL 50-200wr, K-1 t-shirt (M)

Asking Price
250.00 USD

Item Location
Washington state (United States)

Item Description
I sure don't want this to sell :( - on the other hand, medical bills really suck  and came in a bunch this last two months.

Pentax gear for sale:
$195 - Pentax K-5 silver Special #2 + silver Sigmas: 28-80 f/3.5-5.6 1:2 macro & 100-300 DL f/4.5-6.7
$60 - DA∙L 18-50re

$45 - Pentax DA∙L 50-200WR /SOLD

[/B]The K-5 is a fairly recent acquisition and has under 17k clicks. It is not the first-issue silver (modified grip and black/silver SR logo) so it probably is the later one that came with the silver DA40xs. I believe the shutter sound is quieter than the original K-5 but I have no proof of that; it's definitely well damped on this copy. I've experienced zero issues with this camera. I do see a small flaw in the top LCD screen, whether it came that way or took a shock I do not know; it affects nothing and cannot be felt on the top so WR should not be affected. Camera comes with two batteries, original and USB charger, transfer cable and original neck strap. I also have a Pentax CD with silkypix 3.0LE, not sure if that was a K-5 standard but it will go along.

The two Sigma lenses are old models but serve very well, and the finish is a close match to the K-5. Both are in excellent condition with no issues, mechanical cosmetic or optical. The 1:2 closeups at 80mm are handy and the 100-300 focuses much faster than the non-PLM 55-300 copies I have owned. Both have lens caps and I have a 55mm polarizer I can add to the mix.

- - - - -

The 18-50re is a happy surprise, I feel it is a better lens overall than the 18-55wr copies that I've used. Comes with caps but no hood. Sized like a thicker Limited lens, it really makes for a compact team! I'd prefer to sell with the camera right now so not priced to move on its own. We'll see how that plan holds up..

The 50-200 is a typical copy in excellent condition, caps but no hood.

Last but not least -
$10 PentaxForums original K-1 shirt - size Meduim (2016 design 5).
Given the choice I'd rather have a K-1 and no shirt than the reverse, so it should go to an actual K-1 user. I've worn and washed it perhaps a half dozen times so it looks new to me.

My 'old' fave was the k200d, small WR & fun and among the last CCD cams.

My latest silver K-5 cost $200 with under 30k clicks, I'd have preferred the II but for what I received: no complaint :)

I've done the same thing, returning after a micro-43 exclusive stint. The K-5 with compact 18-50re is a nice team. The KP looks like a very nice camera.

I bought a sub-$50 k-r a few years back, cleaned out the control dial and it was like new. I really should have stopped all dealing at that point, my sanity and budget would both be a lot better off and subsequent photos would be no worse. Someone needs to lash me to the mast, i cannot resist the Sirens as they sing to me

Not sure i would buy one today, tough i like the body size and 20Mpx sensor. The supply of color bodies must have been powered down mighty quickly as sales fell below expectations. I thought a few of the colors looked cool - not the 'foodie' neons at the end however

Just curious.. any guesses?

A7RII vs K-1

Sorry to add to the pile, but I would probably choose a fixed Nikon 600 or 610. I greatly prefer the K-1 since I have lenses for it.. but I also prefer spending less, and elder Nikon glass with vr would be fine by me. No plans to abandon ship though.

In 1979 I dropped my film slr onto a granite slab on day 2 of a 5day Wyoming backpack. No click or any sign of life. After mourning for 20 minutes or so, I dialed the shutter slowly; at B I heard a grinding click..and it worked again!

My exif data did not work back then :p so I'm not sure if that was my original Praktica superTL or my ME super. I had to take a whole roll of film in the next quarter mile (no wide angle lens + Cirque of the Towers).

Glad your modern device suffered no major damage! :)

I've picked up a used SMC 18-50re for a nice low price (definitely under $210!) and it's great with my K-5. The 18-135 has many admirers here, but it was a poor fit for me.

ps Welcome to the forums :) sorry your first check-in is for a problem like this.

I've had consistently decent results with the Sig/Quantaray pair of 28-80 1:2 macro (the Q-ray is 28-90) and 100-300 f/4.5-6.7 slowpoke (=not f/4). Images are as good as I allow them to be, since shooting 300/6.7 by hand is an easy way to out-shake the SR. Scores are definitely lower than I've found, and I have owned them each several times. The AF speed on both is really good too.

I've plenty of both cheap and classic, ready for a K-1. Sigmas 28-80 + 100-300, A50, M100/200, 24 Vivitar.. some day they'll be at their 'right' viewing angles again :D

And yes is comments betray his experience - but perhaps Fuji is now teaching him about 'zany' FLs?
Not to mention the 36x24 diagonal = 43.2.. so who defines what's zany?
