100 shots per battery seems rather low. Is it usually very cold where you're Shooting?
IBIS should be off by Default when you use MUP or self timer.
You could switch off the display when you don't temporarily don't use it.

More experienced users might have better tips.

Medium format kit for wide/normal photography

I have a 67 kit with the latest 55/4 (the one from 1986, not the older one from 79). It is very good, but I use th 75AL and the 200 most of the time.
The 105 is very goot for Portraits, not very modern but very impressive!

I can't compare to the Hasselblad System, never used it.

What I've seen (at least in Germany), is that Prices go up for 67 gear. I got mine for 400, now they go for 800-900.

Rgds,
Gerd.

I would think that the collapsible 18-50 and the new 70-300 PLM are quite small for their focal range.

PS: I'm happy for the new lens and those who want it, even if I won't get one.

Do you mean on the screen at the back of the camera or in the actual picture files?
If the first, it is actual the overexposure warning telling you that these parts of the picture will be too bright to show lots of detail since one (or more) color channels will be saturated. This will not show in the actual pictures.
If the second, I donÄt know. Please post example pictures.

Rgds,
Gerd.

Fuji XT-2 vs Pentax K3II for Portraits

If you intend to shoot JPG only, I would keep the Fuji.
Otherwise, i would get the K1 and keep the K3 as backup and cheep tele converter for wildlife.
I get perfect colors out of my K1 RAW's all the time.

No use investing in more than one mount.

Gerd.

You can tell your K3 to expose lighter by applying exposure compensation. You should apply about +0,7 or +1,0 to get a lighter photo.
To do this press the button with the +/- signs and keep it presse and rotate the back wheel until you see the desired value on the top LCD display.
To reset EV compensation, press and hold the button and press green button simultaneously.

Gerd.

I would recommend the 105, it is incredible for portraits. You might want to get extension tubes as well. And maybe a waist level finder to get some different perspectives very easily. And it is nice for street as well.
If you really want to blow the bank i can recommend the 75AL, which is a wow-lens. But you already habe the slower one...

rgds,
gerd.
