My LTM Jupiter-12 is an old KMZ made silver version from 1954. It fits my Canon 7. There is maybe 1mm clearance between the edge of the rear element and the baffles.
I have seen photos of some J-12s that have metal (I think) around the rear element. I wonder if those are the problem lenses.

No. I believe it was made by Mitsubishi, or possibly by Konica. The film is very different than any Fuji, but bears a strong resemblance to Konica VX Color film. I am not certain, but I recall reading that Mitsubishi was manufacturing both film.

Have you compared the film base density from the more recently shot film with the older rolls? That might show you a bit about how much the expiration has affected the film.
I've shot this film a bit, and I generally like it more than XP2 Super. Both are superb films, and both work quite well when shot at 200.

Other than some odd flare in certain situations, it's a great lens.

This one from my Kiev-2a and J-12 shows the flare in the upper corners. Both my 54 KMZ made L39 copy, and my 70s (?) LZOS made Kiev mount copy have this flare in certain situations.

This was kind of a test shot to see how my J-12 would do wide open. I'm pretty impressed with it...

I very briefly had 2 different FE2...
They are nice cameras but for one very irritating feature... The meter (and AE) doesn't work until the frame counter reaches 1...

I had and used both a Pentax K2 and Nikon FE. Other than the ASA ring on the K2 and the aperture window on the FE, the two cameras are remarkably similar. The K2 is heavier, but the two cameras are almost identical in size.

I built furniture in my spare time, so I acquired a lot of smaller chisels and other tools that weren't really needed for timberframing. I was also way into collecting and restoring old handtools. Truth be told, for most of the work I did, I used 2 framing chisels, the large slick, a block plane, a #5 Jack plane, a Carriage Maker's rabbet plane, and a large Japanese handsaw.

I actually got into guitar making a bit in my early 20s. I built 3 solidbody guitars, but then I got into timberframing and didn't do much more guitar making.

Here's a 4x5 film photo I took of the first guitar I made,

I also have a 40, 50, 75, 150 kit. The 75 is the EII version and the others are older MC versions.
I've never really found having half stops to be a big issue, but I mostly shoot C41.

I was a carpenter for most of my working life. My parents and I owned and operated a company that specialized in heavy timber construction that mostly utilized traditional hand cut mortise and tenon joinery. I did most of the design work, and ran the shop.
Here's something I wrote about it a few years ago

I had actually originally thought of shooting this scene from the other side, but when I got there the scene from the other side didn't work. The scene works much better from this side.

This was done partly as a test of my Canon 50/2.2 LTM lens. It was shot wide open at f/2.2 and near infinity focus distance. I think I misfocused a bit , but I think the lens did pretty well.

I think the Rodenstock equipped cameras were only sold in Europe, and even then they were much less common than the Schneider equipped cameras, so in the US you don't run across them much.
My Big C really could use a trip to Chris Sherlock, but it's not a camera I use much so I can't really justify the costs.
