Both my K30 and K50 have this problem. I'm sorry but Pentax has turned to garbage since Ricoh took over (and I used to work for them back in the 1980s). I used to be on the Pentax PPS (professional services program) before Ricoh closed it. If this design problem was in a car they government would have them doing the repairs for free as part of a recall. Instead, Ricoh doesn't even offer the repairs themselves, instead you have to go through the independent repair place in Connecticut. To repair the two cameras I'm looking at around 500 USD. But the new bodies are a lot more expensive than they used to be. I'm going to try to make the repairs myself but if that doesn't work I'm going to buy a basic Canon with two lenses for only 450 USD. What a rip off and I've owned many Pentax cameras since the late 70s or early 80s. Very annoying Ricoh !!!

When you remove it from the lens, in what pocket should you place your lens cap? In the excitement of the moment, do yourself a favor and consciously place it in the same pocket every time. This will make it easier to locate when it's time to place it back on the lens. One more thing, since most pockets contain lint, gently blow off the inside surface of the cap before you place it back on the lens.

This was a series that I thought would be more appreciated as an experience in film.

My wife gave me a brand new guayabera. If the term is new to you, a guayabera is also referred to as a Cuban Wedding Shirt. It is loose and comfortable and has four pockets to help move and organize your smaller camera gear. Trick question from my camera club lecture presentation: In what pocket should you put your lens cap? Answer: The same one every time. Chris Wyman, North Jersey Press Photographer

No... It is for dSLR cameras as well as medium format equipment. To be accepted more than half your income needs to come from photography. Also submit clips if a press photographer. They also required a letter from my primary editor. You also agree to a maximum X amount for the cost for the repairs of the gear you send in for an emergency repair. When I first needed the service I had only one body so it was a lifesaver for me. Check it out if you qualify.

This morning a director at B&H who has been helping me out with promotional materials for a photography lecture turned me on to this forum. I have been a satisfied member of the Pentax Professional Services Program for the last five years, although I only recall needing the program twice. Are there any other PPS members out there?
