How right you are! In general, properties for sale in Spain are presented terribly. I've been in real estate in Spain since the eighties. During this time I always did my own photography using my Pentax LX with either the 20mm or 28mm lens. Only fairly recently have I dropped the business side of real estate due to retirement, but I now continue to offer my photography services to local estate agents. I also had and ran a commercial nationwide property portal for a number of years (for agents nationwide to advertise on) and was was absolutely amazed and quite disgusted at the level of photography employed by many agents. Having said that, there are fortunately some agents that do do it right and either use a capable in-house photographer, or hire in a professional. These days, most agents use their phones and think that's all they need. That's not to say that a mobile phone is incapable of providing this service, quite the contrary. The problem is the person behind it! They simply do not realise the power of a professionally presented portfolio, and furthermore are not prepared to pay for it!! I've given up trying to convince some agents to contract a photographer. The argument is just 'lost' on them! It is the way it is, unfortunately. As a result, it's not easy to find work. I am currently doing work for a local English agency that does appreciate the way things should be presented.

If you buy a property in Spain away from the coast, or inland a little, or better still, away from where the foreigners buy, then you'll see much lower prices!

I have this unit (as well as the Metz 50 AF-1 for Pentax) and use both on the K-70 without any problems. Indeed, you many have to check the firmware from the Metz website.

I do real estate photography so I use the Sigma 10-20mm f/3.5 version. And I've also noticed that quite a few other Pentax owners use this same lens for interiors and architectural photography. Of course Sigma don't make lenses any more for Pentax cameras, but there are plenty of few second hand ones out there!

I like the idea! Fortunately I have an official Pentax dealer here in Spain just half an hour's drive away from where I live. I will certainly be popping in to see the new model when it's released.

Who Knows? Perhaps if the price of the new K3 III is higher than some are prepared to pay, perhaps the original K3 and II may retain their value even more!

Me too! I started when I was fourteen when my Dad gave me a second hand Petri SLR, which I still have. I moved to Pentax in the early eighties with the ME Super, then the LX, and now the K-70.

I have the K-70 too. As a 'long' walk-around lens I use a Sigma 18-300mm which serves me fine. I also own some legacy lenses too which of course work so well on the K-70. However, if you're into wildlife and birds from a distance, you really need something longer than 300mm. Having said that and although I don't own the PLM 55-300, I do understand from many posts and reviews here that it's a great lens and of course comes with WR. I think in your position I would hunt down some second hand, long legacy lenses on the net. Take your time in browsing before you purchase. If from eBay, check thoroughly the sellers credentials, look for a 98-100% customer satisfaction, and read the comments from their customers. I have always found this to be the most reliable way to purchase online.
