Pentax SMC Correction Lens / Diopter for Film SLRs

Z20 has no adjustment and certainly not Super A.
It may be a little difficult to find an M correction lens, look at dealers that have used equipment.
I think they exist throughout the steps (-1, -2, -3).
You can try L-foto in Sweden: L-Foto - Begagnatspecialisten push Pentax PK, then down to "Diverse " and "Korrektionslins M -1 , -2 , -3 , -5 (B+) 125:-/st" (~11€).
But you must mail, Heīs old.

The Pentax DA* 11-18mm F2.8

I see that DA12-24 / 4 costs $700 on BH photo, Ģ800 on SRS and approx $1200 in Sweden. So I think the price on BH photo has fallen a lot over the last few years.
A new DA * 11-18 / 2.8 will surely cost around 1500 $.

Metz is / wants to be the big 3rd party manufacturer of camera flashes.
Do they know the problems or have received enough mail about the problems with K1?

Alex, we who have Pentax equipment have been lucky ....
Did Sony just buy Konica / Minolta DSLR or the entire camera part?

When the price drops, it may be an indication that a new model comes.
Example, a big online shop in Sweden:
645Z house ~ 10,000 € (Old price remains)
Campaign 645Z + 55 / 2.8 ~ 7.500 €
Maybe next year.
But promotions with kit lenses can be cheap.
K1 has gone up around ~ 300 €. This indicates that it will take time before a new model arrives. But a kit: K1 + DFA28-105 costs ~ 85 € more!!

K3 III may come before DFA50 * / 1.4. But they will not say anything a half year before.
The longer it linger, the bigger the improvements.
K2 came in the 70's, and it's not forgotten.
FA31, 43, 77 are the exact focal lengths on the lenses and it sounds more exclusive than 30, 50 or 85mm.
Many lenses, especially telephoto lenses, are not exactly 50mm, 135mm or 300mm, for example, DA * 300 is 278mm.
However, according to http://www.objektivtest.se/tester/test-sex-fast-fullformatsobjectiv-for-pentax-k-1/
FA31 is 32mm, FA43 on 43mm and FA 77 is 76mm.
It might sound better with 31mm instead of 32mm? or Pentax measures a bit differently.

I am Swedish and live near a small town with a small newspaper. There was a photographer who was retired 15 years ago, he used the Pentax 6X7.
I counted now and it's 40 years since I bought my first camera. A Pentax ME with M35/2,8 and M135/3,5, a bit more expensive than MX, as I was recommended. I regretted it later.

Z1/ Z1p is europe and PZ1 / PZ1p is America.
Yes Z1p has a panoramic function, but also a new surface that can withstand UV radiation.
Maybe something more, but I do not remember.
Both models have auto zoom with FA zoom lenses.
There was a motor zoom ring on the zoom lenses with 2-3 different speeds depending on how much you twist it.
One of these is that you can set two different focal lengths that you can change with a button on the lens.
Another feature is that you can zoom during exposure (~ 1sec and up), either from wide angle to tele or vice versa.

K-1 battery grip - does it fix the shutter shock issues with the DFA 28-105?

OK, I have done the test again today, first with the camera (and 28-105) with mechanical shutter.
Then with battery grip with a pentax battery inside, then with a monopod, all with SR.
Then with a tripod without SR and first with mechanical shutter then with Liveview and ES.
I have also used 70mm focal length, the monopod and tripod have rubber feet and stood on a lawn.
What I did not think of was handheld with liveview and ES.
Picture 2 (1) is on 28mm, 4 (2) is at 70mm.
7. (3) is on 70mm and battery grip and 9 (4) is at 28mm.
22. (5) is on tripod (no SR) livevew, ES, 2s timer and 28mm.
26. (6) is the same but 70mm.
I have not looked at them yet, hope you can see a difference between them.

I'm breaking now for tonight.

I went out and took some pictures, but it started to get a little darker.
I will try again tomorrow.
Here are some results that I do not trust, first with camera and 28-105 at 28, then with battery grip, later monopod and last a tripod, both carbon fiber.
First the monopod and tripod.

I bought K1 with battery grip in the price (I thought I would get an extra battery).
I have not used it and thought to sell it, but now. ...
The battery grip does not weigh so much, but it might give better sharpness.
An option is a monopod (preferably carbon fiber) that you can go with mounted on the camera, it provides vertical stabilization that eliminates the shock from the first curtain, you can try it with or without SR.

Pentax 300 lens choice

OK, I thought it was more (focal length). ...
Perhaps A * 300/4 have better SMC coating than M*300.
F * 300 / 4.5 is really good, albeit f 4.5 but with a really good tripod mount, but maybe not for 400?
I sold my nice F300 / 4.5 this spring for 500 and bought the DA300 / 4, perhaps stupid?

200mm prime + TC, vs budget 300mm zoom?
Posted By Bophoto

One thing to keep in mind is that telephoto lenses have shorter focal length than stated.
For example, the DA300 is 278mm and a 1.4X TC may be 1.35X or 1.43X, but probably not 1.40X.
An A200 + 1.4 TC = 280mm, but in reality it might only be 190 X 1.35 = 257mm.

As far as I know, they are the same except that A * has lens information to the camera and A mode on the aperture ring. A * works as F300 * / DA300* but without auto focus.

K5II help indoors, lens help as well

You can buy a "cheap" K5IIs and a 50/1,4, 1,7 or 1,8 and use 2 cameras with 50mm and FA77 or 100 macro.
Before the competition, you can set the color balance on the camera with a white A4 or better a gray card with the main light on the stage.

The changes in your image:
1 Crop tool
2 Gray balance tool
3 Dodge HDR +50
4 Clarity +5
But a flash like Pentax 540 (minus exposed) can lighten up the dark eyes.

Lens Hood and IQ

The photo without hood is lighter and the subject has a higher contrast due to stronger sunlight.
But with and without hood, the camera's light meter seems to respond a bit different, try 1/3 more exposure compensation with the hood.

ups, there was a page 2.
To compare the contrast of images, they should be as bright.

Do you propose a DFA 400/5.6 as an FA400/5.6* with HD, WR and DC for perhaps 1500 €/$?
Or a new constructed DFA 400/5.6* AW, with buttons on the side for the ~same price as DFA150-450.

I recommend using the camera instead. A copy stand are good or a cheaper used enlarger for film (some have 1/4" thread).
Copystands & Copylights | B&H Photo Video
A macro lens works, but is a little worse at short distances. A good lens for enlargement like Schneider, Rodenstock or Nikon works better.
SMC Pentax 100mm F4 Bellows Reviews - K Prime Lenses - Pentax Lens Reviews & Lens Database also works, but is certainly hard to find.
A light table or a magnification head can be used for the film.
A film duplicator is easy to use. Pentax 645 Film Duplicator - Photokina 2014 | PentaxForums.com
And some are cheap.
And pixel shift. ....

It is alleged that Q was not an accessible route. ...
Pentax Q was unsuccessful and it rinses on the sensor format.
But was K-01 also a dead end (APS and mirrorless)?
But what about Fuji's success with APS?

But hopefully there will be a new Q later.

"Those would be very klunky phones."
No because it would be a compact camera with phone function, not a phone.
If I go out and do not want to bring K1 because I will not have time to photograph, a compact camera is good to have in my pocket. But it's also good to have a phone also, which means that ~ 95% does not bring the compact camera because the phone has a camera function.
However, if you are interested in photo, you probably buy a compact camera with phone function than a phone with camera function.
One of the points with a compact camera is that you can have it in one pocket and do not take your DLSR, but you canīt phone with it.
But now that you have camera function on your phone, ~ 95% think it's enough with your phone.
But if there were compact cameras with phone and internet.
