I know this subject has been done in the past, but here is the difference.
1. I dont have a store nearby to go look at bags and Pictures never do a bag justice.
2. I need something to just carry a couple extra lenses and a flash when I go walkabout. Does not have to fit the camera
3. Must be comfortable and easy to access.
4. Must fit a couple small primes and a Flash, or one small prime and a 70-300
I prefer something that would attach to a belt, or a beltpack.

Dave,
I had on my walkaround lens for birds which is the Tamron 70-300mm DI, I wasnt expecting anything fabulous so I didnt have any fast lenses with me.

Kim, no blinds here, you occasionally get one to sit still close up and personal, actually most of the birds here are used to people.
This was the last shot I got before the K20 bit the dust, Its being returned to the vendor tomorrow, havent thought about a replacement yet.

This is all thats left. I am very close to that new lens.
Tamron 70-300mm f4~F5.6 DI Macro 1:2 This lens has given me great results with the K10D and the K100D I cannot see why it would not do well in a K20D Both end caps hood and box and manual $100 plus shipping.
Tamron 80-210mm f4.5~5.6 AF Another remarkable low budget zoom lens. Both end caps hood Box and manual $75 plus shipping.
Buy both of them for $150 and I pay the shipping.

As long as your doing research, go to Pentax Imaging, and download the manuals for both cameras and compare. As for used, check here there were some good buys and slightly used K10's now that everyone wants a k20.

I dont think you want to go higher than 1.4X or 1.5X on a teleconverter, You will loose too much with that lens. Find a decent AF TC and it will work just fine. The Sigma 1.4X TC will not work the the sigma 70-300mm The Tamron 1.4X if you can find one works great.

I have finally decided to sell my trusty Tamron AF70-300mm F/4-5.6 Di LD Macro 1:2. This is an amazing lens, but I no longer have a use for it and I would rather see someone put it to use than it sit here and collect dust. Comes with both caps, box and all documentation. $125.00 plus shipping

I was also considering going another route, like a Nikum, or a Canton, possibly even a Sonigram or an Olympian. But it would mean I would have to buy another hat, so opted for the K20

I actually used the Tamron 70-300mm DI with a 1.4X TC on the K10D, and no I missed the kill, I just happened to notice him as I was driving by, and grabbed the first camera I could.
