Even if Pentax will stop making DSLRs in the near future, you still have FF and bigger format cameras, why panic? )) Your first post sounded like you are completely lost, but as a fact, you do know where you stand with your photography.

First, congrats to your ability to buy so many cool toys :)

Second, could you explain what exactly moved you to switch between brands and models at the first place?

Third, how many years have you been shooting?

And final, what is your favorite part of photography, or why at the first place you do it.

I believe that you got the luxury to satisfy your gear buying addiction :), but now you have no clue about what's next. Perhaps, it will help to start re-thinking what is photography for you now. Then you may realize in what direction you want to go.

Sirui 10 stops ND 67mm filter

---------- Post added 07-16-20 at 08:28 AM ----------

It was not my intention at all ))). You know way more than I do. I feel like a total idiot actually with all this "what I need" stuff :D
" Cokin and lots of brass adapter rings from 49-82..."

that the one I'm thinking about for the rest of my lens LBA collection )))

There is not thread on Laowa filter, it's light ))) version.

I was thinking about investing in separate holder set with the rings. Need to do the home work to find out which one.

Oh, I see. I bought this filter, only 77mm.

I used that filter on Tamron 77-200 yesterday. It's hard to say how I like it, or compare with cheap Rocketfish filters, I was paying more attention to ND filters.

I actually think about finding the universal filter holder for all lenses, from 49mm to 77mm, but have no idea which one will be the best. Still exploring this unknown territory )).

I compared the signs on the actual filter. They are identical: one from the image I linked from BH for $149.90, and one I have in the front of me now. It's SIRUI Pro RGND16 Reverse GND 16(1.2). Buying filters is way more confusing than buying cameras or lenses! )))

I use the filter holder specifically for Laowa 12 mm lens, the light version for now.

That would be interesting to compare. Marumi 110x150 Graduated ND8 for magnetic filter holder is priced at Adorama for $219.99. Both filters, Sirui non magnetic graduated filter and that Marumi filter made of Schott B270 glass. If it matters of course. Perhaps the price difference is about coating. Or marketing? )))

I will do that next time for sure. It's not necessary to drive half an hour to catch the sun above the ocean, just to find the sun rising above the lake nearby for the testing. )))

I also plan to cover the letters on lens with black matte tape, it may help. I guess.

But anyway, Laowa 12mm is crazy wide on FF, I also can crop the affected area. When I buy the universal holder, I also can test all filters on other lenses.

Actually, I just realized that I did not test the ND filter itself, only with graduated reverse filter, therefore I can't tell if the ND will reflect the lens itself. Both filters 4 and 3 stops cost me $34.90 each in this deal, https://www.adorama.com/sirv10015034.html?

I used one of that filters yesterday.

For comparison, the same 4 stop filter from the set is $149.90 at BH:

Nice!
I tested my filters today for the first time. I liked reversible ND filter 100x150 a lot.
I also used two filters together today, reversible and 6 stops ND 100x100. K-1 with Laowa 12mm Zero-D. ( profile correction for Sigma in LR)

Here is the image with 2 filters together. The color is as shoot, I used auto color mode.

The problem is the reflection of the lens on image. Perhaps because I forgot to cover the viewfinder?

One more with only one reversible ND filter, with the lens reflection again.

I was a member of one forum, when it was disagree button, and technically it also served as dislike button. I know for sure some people disliked every post of the person they did not like for some reasons. Basically no matter what the post was about, it was kind of bullying with dislikes.

Regardless to this forum, this rule "private site- the owner can do whatever he/she wants" is outdated for so many big social media sites. When the owner sells the data of the users, and become a billionaire, and sponsors own or the group's political or business agendas, the law and regulations for the balance of private and public interests and public protection, and even the national security should apply.

When we talk about hobby forum, the balance between private ownership- users is fragile for any forums of this type these days. When the owner (usually when the site is on the pick of popularity) forgets about the balance of fair moderation and public content generating, then the site usually goes downhill. I've seen that so many times.

So, the modern rule for the long forum life can be the mutual respect between the owner and the users.

So far, PF is one of the best I've known for this respect.

I consider this thread as an attempt from the owner to keep this mutual respect going.
