Your posts do not contain "please" or "thanks". There are only complains inside. This is bothering me as well as negating of results by others. So lets speak about it.

Did you discover and provide any unique debug mode entering data?
Or just sitting comfortable and waiting.

For K-1 Mark II to enter Debug Mode you should create files 00078400.597 and DEVELOP.MOD.
  1. File 00078400.597 should contain [OPEN_DEBUG_MENU] and LF char.

  2. File DEVELOP.MOD must be exact 10 bytes long and its content should be entered in file hexeditor:
    EITHER hex bytes: 07 01 2C 1F 10 03 1E 16 05 2D enables Development Menu 1-6
    OR hex bytes: 07 1A 02 0A 19 18 1B 1C 05 11 enables Development Menu 1-7

Then turn off camera, plugin this SD card. Leave card door open. Hold "menu" button and turn camera on.

What means "again"? Names are sure unique for each model, but stay same for each firmware of this model. This post was only for K-1 and you have different camera model.

Yes.

In which model "program lens ROM" function was available? In what model was it removed? What model your question is related to?
I am no brain reader and, by the way, I do not even have pentax cam.

Also word "possible" is different from "will be done". A lot of things are possible, but will never appear.

It is completely hacked. But there is very poor understanding of difference between "hack" and "development". The first term is like "unlocking" features that are already inside, but disabled by manufacturer. This is pretty fast to do (days to months). Second word describe creating new features where you need a lot of knowledge and time (from months to years).

Debug Mode is unlocked and so far no other exciting hidden features were found in firmware. And seems nobody can/want invest huge amount of spare time in "development" of new features.

There is HexRay decompiler to C language. But it has many limitations and you still need to read a lot assembler; and C++ is not recognized. Also ARM Thumb code is not decompiled.

I do not know if it is already mentioned: Ricoh GR uses Sony IMX071 CMOS sensor that is same as in Nikon D5100/D7000.

RealOS Manual

In fact I am able to locate all these functions in firmware. It seems there is a powerfull script engine embedded in Ricoh GR firmware with access to all hardware. Investigating this and reversing debug shell could help you locate button code.

You should disassemble b01firm8.bin with any tool like IDA/.../objdump that supports ARMv7-A and Thumb 2, taking in account .bin load address 0xA0020200 and big endian byte order.
There is no VFP.

Firmware runs on fujitsu m6 LSI chip (milbeaut 6th-generation). Function names (kernelInit, kernel_err_def_max) were added manually.

For ricoh GR firmware downloaded from official website rg1_v051.zip: you just have to run ricohdec first on rg1_v051.frm, then again on resulting rg1_v001up.bin.
Then you get camera firmware file b01firm8.bin. File b01firm6.bin is firmware updater.

You better open file attributes in fopen from "r" to "rb" and from "w" to "wb" or decoder fails built with Mingw on WIndows.

In terms of pentax Core0=CPU, Core1=DSP. Both ARM, actually no difference, because it is multicore CPU. Core0 code is small 0x1FFFF, serving AF, light, Buttons, peripherials. Core1 serving shooting process, playback, menus, etc.

The code at 0xC00000 seems to do firmware update.

Just files with these names is not enough. You should follow similar instructions for K-S1:

But it depends how bad firmware is.

For K-1 to enter Debug Mode you should create files 00077970.560 and DEVELOP.MOD.

UPDATED 09.08.16: note different file extension
  1. File 00077970.562 should contain [OPEN_DEBUG_MENU] and LF char.

For K-1 things are more complicated. It is similar to K-S1/2, where file alone is not enough. Do you have K-1?

There is no easy way to find it except disassembling/analyzing firmware.
