Hauling a 2.5 kg lens around all day isn't made any easier by the fact that you've been expecting it.

I wouldn't bother, tbh. The PLM is neither sharp nor fast enough. If you want more reach, get yourself a DA* 300 and crop in post.

I'm sure it would make a decent youtube series where you make Pentax cameras out of the most bizzare materials :D

Given that you already have FF glass, get the K-1.
If you're interested in APS-C either get the KP whilst it's discounted or wait for extra info on the upcoming APS-C flagship.

If she finds the K-3 + 18-135 too heavy, get her an Oly 10 Mk2 kit for the price of a 55-300.

Will we ever get a 400mm f2.8 lens for sports photographers?

Tbh I'd much rather see a 400/5.6 for about $1500 than a 400/2.8 for $12000.

You may need to make sidebars (histogram on the left and sliders on the right) smaller for these buttons to appear.

Nikon imaging forecasting first year of losses

The problem is that they're not better than the Sony, nor are they frankly better than DSLRs from respective manufacturers. The AF in Z7 works worse than the AF in the D850 and the AF in the A7 from what I heard. The EOS R is a hot mess regarding its ergonomics.

I don't think it's that big of a problem. They have the advantage on that regard as there's already a huge fleet of F/EF lenses out there. It's the cameras themselves that are the problem imo.

How many stops of shake reduction?

I think it depends a lot on the focal length you're using. From my observations, my K-70 with the PLM @ 300mm gives about 1.5-2 stops tops. I imagine it would do better at shorter focal lengths.

Right, I was hoping for a link, but whatever.
I looked it up and I'm somewhat confused to say the least. The fact that the K-1II has double the "Low light ISO" of the original K-1 seems odd. Yes, the 1II is better at handling ISO but surely not a full stop better.
Maximum PDR figures appear to be more sensible and Pentax isn't any remarkable on that regard.

With so many great offerings from Canon, Nikon, Sony, etc., why do you choose Pentax?

I chose the K-70 as my first ever camera due to it being an incredible value proposition.
I feel like it's the only camera in its price range that doesn't habitually shout "should've spent more money, poor ass" at me.
I also like its design

K-70 here. I have my Auto ISO limiter set to 6400, however I prefer not to go beyond 3200 if I can help it.
